I'm sure you'll all be delighted to hear that Cotterill has said that the deal is potentially still on atm, bid accepted and speaking to player/agent tomorrow.

I backtrack on what I said earlier - the deal could still be on!

Cotterill says he hasn't spoken to him or his representatives yet, but has just had a bid accepted, after lengthy discussions with Steve Parish yesterday. He will know more tomorrow apparently.

JJH, along with the other 487 Bristol City fans here, keeping you reliably informed.

Y'know what? There should be a news flash in here, every time there is an update on the Gayle situation, much like in The Inbetweeners when Simon keeps mentioning Tara. I'm noticing similarities, in that others getting fucked off, us getting excited and happy to talk about it, etc etc...

They couldn't even get the score right from a game three days o. If he's turned us down then SC would of said.

That all being said, he won't sign........

Seems like an awful lot of money and a broken wage structure when we could have just kept JET.

Kodjia looks like he could do something with any kind of service, which was woefully lacking on Saturday. Need a creative midfielder to address that issue or an upgrade on Wilbraham not another Agard/Kodjia imo.

Lets spunk £2m on Matt Smith, then £1m on Dack and £1m-1.5m on Bradshaw, £4m or so for 3 players maybe chuck a bit at Woods. Then if Bolasie does get sold bring in a CB.

A more sensible approach.

Byram back in contract talks. Really need to tie him down. Just so if he does leave next summer we can get a lot of money for him. At market rate, as ridiculous as it is, got to be looking at £10m.

Tim Ream is on his way apparently. Still noises about Gayle and Dunk. But we simply need a centre back so Ream or Dunk is a priority

Well it's been a few hours since the last update and I know everyone's dying to hear more about Gayle, so here's the latest:

[quote name="WRERE" post="2325985" timestamp="1439375397"]

SkySports are reporting :
GAYLE CONSIDERING BRISTOL CITY

We understand Dwight Gayle is considering a potential move to newly promoted Championship side Bristol City after speaking to Alan Pardew.
Yesteday we broke the news that City had agreed a £6m deal with £2m add-ons for the 24-year-old.

Almost as exciting as the George Thorne saga last season.

You should (Or shouldn't have really) seen our forum, Thorne's transfer alone merited a 500 page thread, all on him

Is he shite these days? hope Pickford retains his place.
Far from shite mate, still a quality keeper my only reservations is his mobility.

Forest been made favourites to sign Joey Barton.

I'm sure he's not going to accept 10k a week, so how are Forest going to get round those restrictions? (if true!)

Rumours saying we've made a bid for Jamie Paterson from Forest again. Hope it's true.

Possibly mentioned in the 4 pages since i last checked the thread, but seeing as the FFP here is to do with loss and more focused on wages that would be where the "bottom 6 budget" comes into play. On the transfer fee side of things it is irrelevant because as long as SL puts the money in as equity instead of a loan we can spend it
