Joao has done the same but looks a different level to the Kodjia I saw Saturday

Helps with Joao that you've got a stronger side and that your manager/a few teammates can speak his language.

Not saying Kodjia will turn out better or anything, like City169 said he could flop, but I think even your Joao lad would look shit in our team at the moment

Matt Smith was written off as "awful" after his first 2 games for us on loan last season, he went on to be fantastic for us.
Kodjia has just come over from another country having to learn English, relocate entirely and learn to adapt to a new league much more physical than the French one. Wouldn't surprise me if it took him another month or so to find his feet tbh.

2 yards out is 2 yards out in any country.

I'm just being facetious before anyone jumps on it.

Out of the blue but had a £2m bid rejected for NEC winger Anthony Limbombe. You know...that guy...from that thing.

Fair enough, but all players adapt at different rates, Kodjia may never adapt and could be a total flop, but I personally won't write him off after 2 games.
Jota took quite a few games last year to get up and running. I reckon both of them will do pretty well.

Paolo Hurtado confirmed from Pacos de Ferreira on a three year deal earlier this evening. Hopefully the left winger we've been needing for a while now.

According to reports in Belgium we are signing Maxime Colin from Anderlecht, a 23 year old French right back, sometime this week pending a medical.

Played 17 times for them since joining last summer, no idea on what kind of fee.

Don't really know anything about the player, so difficult to say anything, but the pedigree looks good!

You've been insinuating all summer we are gonna relegate. Look forward to reminding you of this all season. We are vastly improved. Also you were all wrong about another thing. Shock. O Hara. Been class so far. Not sure what the Wolverhampton water did to ruin him but been motm first two games.

I like what Wednesday are doing. I think they're making great signings and not purposely losing their best players.
I worry about Brentford because they're signing foreign tat with good stats and getting rid of their best proven Championship players. Think it's a recipe for disaster. Liverpool tried the same crap and struggled.

We are apparently interested in Boltons Tim Ream. Offer accepted between 1.4 and 2 million. Exactly the position we need to sign so I would be happy if this one comes through.

Time to panic buy Andre Gray then...

Gayle deal gone very quiet. Our last hope is from SC at 12pm, otherwise it's onto the next one.

Really dis-heartened with how this deal and the Lingard one turned out. I hope we have a plan B, otherwise we could look like absolute idiots soon.

Can't see Gray being any more interested in that move than Gayle was to be honest.

We'd be able to offer him more than he's on at Brentford, and the same level of football. Gayle we could only probably match his wages, for a lower division.

Anyway, the Gray rumours seem to be picking up some speed. Forget Andre Gray, Cotts, go get Alan Judge if we're looking at Brentford players for silly sums of money!

Gray is an ambitious guy and wants to play in the Premiership sooner rather than later. If he goes anywhere this summer I'm pretty certain it will be to a club that he perceives as having a better chance of promotion than Brentford. With confirmed interest from Hull and strongly rumoured interest from Derby and Burnley I think you'd be way down his list of preferred options on that front.

Far less of a problem with him moving to the Prem if we do cave in and sell, but not liking the sound of that deal at all really.

None of our players had any Championship experience last year, and they all did pretty well!

We also don't want to sell any of our players, but not much you can do when release clauses are met.

You can try and persuade them! Just because a bid is accepted or has to be accepted that the player has to go

Gayle deal will be decided by the end of this week, so says BBC Bristol.

It's not going to happen, he'd be here by now if it would have. He'll attract other offers.

The Wednesday
Agent "see what they (Bristol C) have to say"
Gayle "Wherz Bristul, is it near Croydon?"
Agent "just outside London Dwight, hear em out"
Gayle "ok, may get a pay rise"
Agent "exactly, i'll ring Fulham and QPR on the blower whilst you make the trip"
Gayle "sound"

2 hours later
Gayle "just outside, i'm nearly in fecking Wales, and they speak funny too, that Cotterill fella sounds daft"
Agent "Still waiting for QPR and Fulham to come back, Norwich said they want you"
Gayle "I'll stall, say i'm thinking about it, but it's a fecking no"
