Burnley have signed some German called Hennings who was the top scorer in Bundesliga 2 last season. Undisclosed fee.

We're going for the quantity, not quality approach.

Would love Alli or Pritchard on loan here but I'm sure there are many other clubs infront of us.

Smithies gone to QPR for £2million + sell on - gutted.

Truely thought he would be at the club for life and break our club appearance record.

QPR must have spent a fair bit this summer. I get that they're fighting FFP in court which has delayed any action (and they'll probably win and bring FFP crumbling down), but why didn't Forest, Leeds, and Blackburn do the same?

Has he actually gone? Can only see it being reported by HITC and they chat a lot of bollocks.

Weird move for him, guaranteed first team Championship football at Huddersfield. Most likely second fiddle to Green at QPR.

Wasn't Smithies once tipped for higher things than QPR, or was that just FIFA/FM?

Nugent has far far more to his game than being a "penalty taker" but if you can't see that then I'm not sure there's much point talking to you about it...

Were them videos from like 10 years ago?

He was good at Preston, but recently he's not been as good. The season Leicester went up he got about 8 penalties. He wasn't really that good at Portsmouth and Burnley either?

Stop being so touchy x

Leicester fans love him as much as North End fans do as far as I can tell, obviously he's behind about £25m+ worth of strikers now though.

Of course they love him, his penalties lead them to the championship title.

Pretty sure he hit 21 goals overall that season but ok.

Bad week for Huddersfield if they lose Smithies and Butterfield, on top of losing Conor Coady earlier in the summer.

I don't think the board would he stupid enough to let Butterfield go aswell as Smithies.

Think Rob Green is meant to be off to West Ham.

We're in deep shit.

Jobi McAnuff to Blackburn
Jesus Christ - he was terrible in a side that got relegated from L1 last season, let alone making the step up back to the Championship.

Delfouneso and McAnuff in the same team could really be something.

£2m for Bradshaw doing the rounds this morning. Personally, I think £2m could be spent more wisely, rather than on a good L1 player with an injury history.

Bradshaw isn't the answer IMO - we need some proven quality in this league, and it looks as if we're going to have to spend big for it, because we've left everything so late.

We have barely spent anything. We have signed a whole load of freebies. IWe have spent less than what we got from the Sterling deal.

How do you know he's not what you need? Andre Gray hadn't played at Championship level before, neither had Bamford when Derby loaned him. Ighalo, Wilson, Donaldson, etc. none of these guys had played at Championship level either. Buying established Championship scorers is almost pointless because a) they're over-priced and b) their current clubs wouldn't want to lose them.

Looking at the top scorers last season in the league, how many were proven quality in this leage and had moved from one Championship club to another?
Proven quality in this league is hard to come by, normally exceptionally expensive and doesn't always guarantee success. Good scouting and strong management will likely get the best out of players. Kodjia looks like he could fit this mould, took his goal well and worked hard. Just need another like him.

Very good post, Afobe is another one. For me Bradshaw would be a great addition depending on how those hamstrings hold up.

As much as I would like Bristol City to spunk £2m on Bradshaw, he's not worth half that. £750,000 tops.

Now everyone knows that Bristol City have millions to spend on a striker so they're all going to up their price.
