We've got Kevin Foley on trial. Thoughts, Wolves fans? He's only going to be a backup player.

Always got time for Kev Foley. Was a very good servant to the club and a great attitude to match. Should be more than good enough to be a backup player

Bid for Clough is £2m not £3m. Surprised no-one has yet matched that, although they probably will.

We had Kevin Foley on trial in December. Also to be as backup but we shipped him out before his trial period had finished apparently.

We appear to be setting up with a decent amount of youth players atm. Browne, Brownhill, Johnson, Pearson and potentially Johnstone and Robinson.

Seems a shrewd bit of a business for Pearson.

If we're to compete at this level long-term then we need to get back to buying young talent on the cheap and developing them to sell at a profit.

Pearson (21), Wright (23), Johnson (23), Browne (20), Brownhill (20), Hugill (23) & Cunningham (24). Plus i'd like to think we will be looking to turn the loan deals into permanent moves if the chance arises; Johnstone (22), Vermijl (23), Reach (22) & Robinson (20). Not all of them will turn out to be a success but it's the right policy for us.

Rumoured you want him on a perm and you'd beat our transfer fee if we both did.

Can't see Johnstone wanting to drop down to League One.

Apparently United want £3million for Johnstone!

Very good, young keeper but they can fuck off at that price (if true), we'll just pluck out another wonder loan from somewhere next season.

If we're after a decent permanent keeper then i'd be taking a look at Amos from Bolton.

Hoping Pearson can make the same impact that DJ did. Grayson always seems to have a better january transfer market than the summer one.

Whats the news on Miler Bolanos to Brighton?

He won't continue at Emelec, so he's most likely off to Europe.

Well the club president already confirmed that Bolanos won't continue at Emelec, so he could be off anywhere really. One source said it would be Mexico, Turkey or England.

Similar strategy to us, just with cheaper players. Should work well for you long term.

Pearson looks a good shout to me

I would love Reading to sign more younger players but the problem is that they stop the development of our academy players by taking their spot. The problem then is that we're either signing players who are supposedly at their peak (so most expensive) or past it. And i'd rather have a full team of homegrown players than cheaper profitable youngsters.
