good signing, we were down to a mere 5 prospect wingers before this.

Nakhi Wells linked by some Yorkshire pudding rag, is he available for 900k mad wanting 1980s level wages? If so consider it genuine.

No chance on Wells, if anything we need a striker to partner him/replace when he needs a rest.

Can have Ishmael Miller though?

Would they be up for swapping Miller for 3 or 4 wingers? none of them can play on the left but your right side will be full of tricks, pace and no crossing.

Toumani Diagouraga has handed in a transfer request.
Rejected now.

Supposedly we are happy with the squad as it is, and if there aren't any departures we won't be buying anyone. Saving the pennies for the summer.

We're one of the clubs trying to sign Tom Bradshaw.

How much you got in the bank to spend? Depends on the offer I suppose.

Absolutely nothing on our end about it. Probably just paper talk providing you have concrete evidence of it.

I'll be suprised but very happy if we had the same squad as now at the end of January, sounds like Tarks is keen on moving back to the north west and we know the players hold a lot of the cards these days.

Up to Hemmings, spent £800k-£1m on Stevie May earlier in the season and spent circa £300k on Pearson yesterday.

Grayson seems confident on more signings.

From everything I've gathered so far, he won't be going cheap with another year on his deal and his vital importance to our current state. Bonser will know the Championship TV money is something like £8m next season so it would benefit him in the longer run to get promoted and keep our players.

I'd be surprised (but not amazed) if it was less than £1 - £1.5m for him with add-ons. Despite a few injuries, he has one of the best goals to games/minutes ratios in the entire country in the last 2 years.

Clough expected to play for Bolton tonight. Obviously part of the contract was to let him have one last game.

Respect to City for that.

Haha it's been obvious since yesterday it wouldn't be happening. Becoming embarrassing now. It's pretty much the exact same as Gray. Bid accepted, come for talks, go back to think about it. Play an evening game and SC come on the radio after to say the deals dead.

Like Bolton would allow a player, whose sale could save the club, to risk injury by playing? If he's in their squad, he's turned us down, we move on to the next one.

We've had a bid accepted by Man United for 20 year old Liam Grimshaw.

Another one from Man United incoming, Liam Grimshaw now on a permanent deal supposedly, another midfielder who has been recalled from Motherwell.

From Burnley so I don't want him.

We appear to be establishing ourselves a place where promising premiership youngsters come when they aren't going to break into the prem team.

Yep, I like it.

Motherwell fans seem like big fans of this guy, sounds like a battler.

I agree. I'd love to keep some more of the guys who have turned this club into what it is, but if they want to move on then they go with my best wishes, all given a lot to this club.

Seems we are being quite sensible and lining up lots of targets in case people leave, would love to hear a bit more about new contracts though, we've barely signed anyone to a new deal since we first came up.

Doubt it, not getting a game at Wigan so would be daft to turn the chance of 2nd tier football down.

Never heard of him tbh. Hope he's decent. Any idea on the fee?
Not sure but motherwell were about to sign him on a perm after his loan there but we blew them out the water apparently.

I've given up with transfer rumours this January. We must have been linked to about 30 strikers by now. 25 also linked with Sheffield Wednesday. Safe to say which two clubs the media think need a forward in this window.

That said, we need something to happen soon. We were slow to react in the Summer and although patience can lead to better buys, I don't think January really is the place to be taking your time. January 31st is possibly the peak price of any player.

Yeah true, we seemed to pull Afobe out of no where last Jan, we have talked about a replacement, however if they knew he wanted away in January (from as early as September from what I read) surely you would have lined some sort of list of targets up!?
