Honestly, I'm amazed a Championship club are going to take a punt on him.

He was horrendous, just a big lumux who can't jump off the floor and win anything in the air despite being close to 7ft, he's lazy, I really can't think of anything positive to say.

All that being said, probably the worst Charlton side I've ever seen last season so maybe playing with better players will help him but from what I saw last season, he's not better than you already have.

Unless he has improved drastically since he was at our place, he's miles away from being a Championship player, not even close. Did a great job getting the gas relegated though.

The only player apart from those 2 that we've been linked with that would cost a 'substantial' fee (breaking our transfer record?) is Lansbury and I can't see us getting him!
Would Mawson cost a 'substantial' fee? Certainly 7 figures IMHO.

Lansbury wouldn't happen, will probably to the PL with Burnley!

I totally agree about Lansbury bud. This worries me though as it reeks of last summer.

Absolutely does.

You can chuck money at the right targets though, but I hope the players identified are willing to join, like Tomlin would be.

If not, at least players like Brownhill, Hammill, Matthews etc should come in and we'll have a championship core squad to fall back on.

He had him on loan at the end of 2014/15 and he was pretty quick and was technically sound. He is however VERY short and can get bullied, after a season with Barnsley in League One he could be ready for the step up. Definitely worth the gamble.
