"You are trying to buy two players for significant sums".

"Money talks and you are chucking some about".

Wow look at Nixon, specific as ever, that could literally refer to anybody or anything. Last year you bid large amounts daily, he's figured you'll do the same this year and if you do, he can sit back and say he was right and idiots like you lot fall for it and will continue to pester him (embarrassingly) daily for updates.

Nixon and those who tweet him need to be banned from Twitter.

Downers the lot of you.

I've seen you use the word "downers" a couple of times on here. Interested in what your are trying to insinuate with it?

Seriously Nixon is a reporter for the Sun, that's all you ever need know about his reliability, reputation and trustworthiness. That and he's a fat headed c***.

Ipswich closing in on Liam Feeney. Good signing if/when it goes through, we need wingers and he impressed on loan last season.

Ableist comments, stay classy SERNWA.
He's specified the players and the fees. I can't see what else he's supposed to know.
'Around £2.5M for Mousset (ties up with the €4M bid rumoured elsewhere) and £1.5M for Tommo but wages are an issue'.
Seems pretty specific to me.

Are these tweets conveniently coming out know after people ITK from Bristol are tweeting about it? Cos those tweets earlier on on this thread from him show he didn't have a fucking clue.

Brownhill confirmed.

The first of many, although hopefully a few proven players to follow.
Can't say I know alot about him, fingers crossed he progresses onto quite a player.

Solid midfielder. Came in and did a great job for us. Superb long shot on him too. Hope he's a success.

Sounds good mate, hope he breaks through into the first team. Good age as well.

Brownhill. Bit underwhelming but a good age, hopefully this doesn't mean he's gonna replace Bobby Reid.

No idea fella. The ones I have been reading seem to be pretty accurate. In all honesty, I read them as they may be of interest but believe them when they are sat in the stands at the Gate wearing the red shirt. He does seem to have a higher hit rate than most which makes it of relative interest when he tweets.
In his defence, City fans have been bombarding the guy with tweets so it's only natural that he answers them.
It doesn't bother me TBH, all part of the summer break to me.

My thoughts exactly or even worse Korey Smith. Let's give the lad a chance regardless eh! If we get Tommo and Hammill as well, we're going to have some serious competition in midfield which can only be good for us. I would still like to see an 'enforcer' added, a Marvin Elliott type.

I agree with the underwhelming part, Lansdown talking prem last home game so far signed a kid from Barnsley.

Still early yet fella, plenty of time. The first of quite a few I should think.
The Mousset one intrigues me as is he supposed to play WITH Kodjia or replace him? JK's performances last season won't have gone unnoticed after all.

Still think we need an experienced head in midfield, this lad is only 20 years old? Hardly troubled Preston's first team in League 1, so I wonder if he will feature much or just there for cover.

Anyway, it makes a nice change to get the ball rolling early...

Welcome Josh.

I suspect that the only reason we got him was he was guaranteed to play and be sold if a bigger team comes in for him.

I like kodjia a lot , hopefully I am wrong and the club will keep him for one more season

I could say retard but downers my choice.

Quite fucking obvious what I mean and I'm not bothered about telling you (which you hoped I would).

It's okay I feel sorry for you and find it a bit sad really. I didn't think that an adult would be so silly to think that it's clever to use such words as an insult still.I think you need to take a long hard look at yourself and grow up tbh. I can guarantee you that the people with learning disabilities are worth a million of you. I seriously suggest you get out there and live in the real world.

So we've signed Preston's 7th choice midfielder, Barnsley fans have got all weird about it and ol Serawa thinks it's ok to call people 'downers'.

All too crazzzzyyyyyy for me.

Thanks Techno.
I was properly offended by the 'retard' comment as a very good friend of mine has 2 kids born with downs syndrome who are the most loving children I know. They / we don't think of it as an unfortunate thing which people would understand if they ever met my pals children.
I expected better from SERNWA tbh. I can only assume it's a difference in phrases between us and those in the North as that's a shocker!
Thank you Techno, I can't like your post enough to do it justice.

unfortunately I didn't.
I've volunteered helping a range of disabled people, whether physical or mental, with a charity in Bristol and can only echo the comments made about people with Down's syndrome being very loving

I can assure you such comments are just as frowned upon by most folk in South Yorkshire.
Good on you pal, no offence meant. I hoped that phrase meant something different oop North. It makes it even worse.
I'm appalled at SERNWA's post TBH.

Any MOD's about? That comment really does need to be deleted.
I'm no mod, nor do I pretend to be but have asked SERNWA to delete it as it's pretty distasteful. I'm sure he will.

Here we are, everybody's extremely precious, didn't expect anything different.

Calling someone a downer or retard is something that's said day in day out where I'm from, from my friends, to work, to home life and I dare say most of you hear it on a day to day basis.

It's amazing that after a comment like that how many people know a cousin twice removed who's got a friend with a wife who knows someone with Down's syndrome or have even volunteered to help people with learning disabilities.

Everyone needs to get out of their ivory tower and get a grip. I got called a nutter they other day, that remark is just as ableist? Am I crying about it and listing all the people I know who've had mental issues? No, cos I'm not some lefty wanker who cries about what people say on football forums.
