O'dowda sounds close, Albentosa has gone to Deportivo, we're now odds on to sign Anichebe with the bookies and the oracle has said Fulham have bidded for Hendrick.

We shall see.

Some noise we've matched Rotherham's bid for Bradshaw. He'd likely be behind Vibe and Hogan in the pecking order but I wouldn't say no to having him. Ideally we'd sign someone a bit better to be 1st choice but would take him at the prices being quoted.

Yeah heard about this last night but like you say he wouldn't be guaranteed first team football at Brentford especially with the way Hogan finished last season and also having Vibe and Hoffman aswel plus you always just play with the 1 striker so his chances would be limited there. If he chose to come to Rotherham he would start every week i should imagine so i hope he chooses his decision carefully if it comes to choosing between the pair of us.

Aaron Tshibola has signed for Aston Villa, reportedly for £5m.

Such a shame as his potential is huge and I wanted to build the team around him, but sounds like we've been forced as he wanted out. Still, £5m for someone who has started 6 league games for us isn't bad.

Talk about Rico Henry coming in if Taylor goes. Cellino said he won't let Taylor leave as he's been 'disrespectful' so we'll see on that.

West Ham interested too apparently, be interesting to see if anyone tables a bid.

Kyle McFadzean supposedly to Burton. Please take him, I can't wait for him to go. Average defender really, will make quite a few mistakes and will get lots of suspensions.

Ipswich in for Elliot Bennett after only six months at Blackburn. Distinctly average.

That pretty much sums up Ipswich's squad, how McCarthy has them up contending for the play offs every year is remarkable.

He's a lot better than distinctly average. Be a good signing for Ipswich.
He had a few good games with us, apart from that was very average. A solid performer, but no thrills. Blackburn fans say the same, if Ipswich have high aspirations they won't be signing him.

I liked Bennett, would definitely take him here.

He's never played for Juve, but went on loan to a Serie B side he helped get to the playoffs, and then went on loan to Cesena so has some Serie A experience too.

Another one I haven't heard of but if he's at Juve he must be decent.
Is it £3M or €3M?

It doesn't say, but one of those as its meant to be a new record, €3m is £2.55m which just about beats our record signing

Wasn't JK €3M?
Yeah, but at the time that was about £2.2m, Maynard is still our record signing I believe.
Made me laugh reading the translated article from an Icelandic website, it said the fee would "make him the most expensive player in history" without any reference to us or Juventus.

Magnusson has started following the club on Twitter, and earlier today Johnson said he hoped there would be signings to announced in the coming week. Think this rumour has legs, and seems much like the Kodjia one, a shout from a foreign journalist seemingly out of nowhere, announced a day or so later.

Ah of course, I had forgotten about the change in exchange rates.
This one might be genuine then. Watch him go to Wolves now. :gmc:

Wasn't the £3m initially reported, Durden suggested it ended up being just under £2m.
His sources in Bournemouth said it was around £3m but his sources this end said it was less than the £2.25m paid for Maynard

Ah, cheers. I wasn't sure myself, I saw the 3m figure being bandied about so assumed it was that. Us and our bloody undisclosed figures!

We have rejected 2 more bids from Reading for Ben Coker - 100k followed by 125k but Brown has contacted Jaap Stam and he denied that he was interested in Coker. Just shows some managers are just given players who they don't even want
