We've knocked back a £3.5 million bid from Burnley for Jeff Hendrick.

I reckon it'll have to be near double that chaps.

Any idea on how much Hayden moved for? We should have a sell on with him.

Speculation of Villa bidding for Kodjia that's been floating about today has been quashed by a BBC journalist. £6.5m was the rumoured price

I suspect Bogdan to Wigan is very close. When Liverpool are letting 39 year old Alex Manninger train with a view to becoming their 3rd choice keeper you know they're desperate to get Bogdan out.

Yep, similar player to Hendrick in fairness (and would be a solid replacement for Barton), but I'd hope we're continuing to do everything we can to keep the current squad (and especially the midfield pairing) together. Suspect we've rightly slapped a silly and unrealistic price tag on him as with Dunk.

Thankfully I think of all PL clubs Burnley are probably the one least likely to pay over the odds still, even with the ridiculous wealth of that league nowadays.

yeah right

let's get it right "Ekstrand deal off because he wanted a reasonable wage and we have no ambitions"

I fully expect him to sign for one of our rivals and be perfectly fine

looking forward to Celine Dion refunding 50% of the Season ticket funds now, reports are we've edged close to the 15k he wanted

We were supposedly after him and seem to have released the purse strings a bit this summer (strong rumours that some Icelandic international defender is heading our way from Juve for 3M) so it might not be a shock if he turns up in BS3, especially if, as is rumoured, the Toon want Flinty.

Danny Ward signed for the season from Liverpool. Now this I like, sounds like a quality keeper that would've done way better were it not for Wagner/Klopp.

Completed the signing of Finnish goalkeeper Anssi Jaakkola from Ajax Cape Town.

Don't know too much about him, but apparently he has been very good in South Africa. Not sure where he fits in though, unless Jonathan Bond is leaving (permanently or on loan). Al-Habsi is clearly first choice for us currently.

He had a few good games with us, apart from that was very average. A solid performer, but no thrills. Blackburn fans say the same, if Ipswich have high aspirations they won't be signing him.
We need wingers and are unwilling to spend a lot of money. I'd be happy if we signed him, he always looked ok to me.

Yeah £2.5M is what I've read too for Hayden.

I've seen Coyle wants £6M for Hanley which if we've already bid £4.5M and he's supposedly our top defensive target,I can't imagine that we won't follow through with the bid at least.

Oh and is there any takers for Sissoko at 35 large ones? :£

His head looks like it takes up most of the goal.

Linked with John Swift as well, hopefully that deal is concluded, well, you know...

Swift was meant to be coming back here, but I'm not too bothered about it. While he definitely has some talent, and a club like Brentford shouldn't be turning down someone playing for the England Under 21s, he is an incredibly lazy footballer, and was a huge factor behind some of our runs of bad form. Equally there were times where he was the best player in the team and helped push us forward.

If you can make him more of a team player and better at defending, he'll be a great signing.

I can't imagine someone like Jaap Stam tolerating a lazy shift, unless you are very, very brave.

Nick Powell has followed Wolves on twitter, which is the modern day equivalent of signing a 5 year contract and being paraded around the city centre in a Wolves shirt...

A bit of an uninspiring signing if it comes off, standard Championship player I think.

There's a player in there somewhere, all about his attitude. Needs a manager like Owen Coyle who put his arm round him, fed his ego and just let him play. Under a disciplinarian like Rosler or Pearson it obviously just didn't work. Undeniably talented though, absolutely carried us that first half of 2013/14. Just a shame he has a massive ego and behavioural problems off the pitch. Personally though, I liked him and wish him well.

I heard he lost interest in football, and the only reason he wants to move to Wolves is because of a decent wage and it's fairly close to his hometown Crewe. If he can go back to the sort of player I remember seeing at Crewe (that game at Wembley) I think he would be a decent player. It's a big'if' though.

According to Hull Daily Mail, the Tigers are lining up a £1.5 million bid for Brighton's Beram Kayal.

Seems very low to me although he only has one-year on his contract. At that sort of price, he would be a real bargain for Hull.

Ha, fat chance of them accepting that if they turned down £4m for Stephens.
