There's a player in there somewhere, all about his attitude. Needs a manager like Owen Coyle who put his arm round him, fed his ego and just let him play. Under a disciplinarian like Rosler or Pearson it obviously just didn't work. Undeniably talented though, absolutely carried us that first half of 2013/14. Just a shame he has a massive ego and behavioural problems off the pitch. Personally though, I liked him and wish him well.

Looks like he's going to Wigan instead.

I hope we had a sell on clause

Newcastle fans. Do you think Freddie Woodman will get games this season? He did very well on loan with us last season and I'd like Ike to see him progress. Good keeper imho.

Casey

If I'm being honest, no. I expect Krul to leave but then we have Elliott, Darlow and Selz who are potentially above him in the pecking order. Would expect him to go out on loan again this season. Starting for England U19s tonight funnily enough.

Deal done! Unbelievable really, that has come out of absolutely nowhere. Incredibly exciting but it's down to Powell really, if he curbs the ego, enjoys himself again and plays like we saw him play under Coyle then we have one of the best attacking midfielders in the league without paying a penny in transfer fees. It could go the other way and be an absolute disaster if he's has one of his meltdowns or is badly managed, but if Caldwell trusts him enough then I'm happy for the risk to be taken.

Good luck to him, whoever we get now will depend on the takeover. Time is starting to become of the essence in that regard.

This has come from left field but Duncan Watmore will be joining us on loan tommorow.

Happy with that, just need to have a major push on our big deals.

Wrong club

I used to like Newcastle aswell as Rotherham when I was younger (all because of Shearer), so mates wind me up about it and mate at Rotherham said He'd done the paperwork for 'the opposite of a Geordie'' and another said DW.

I Put 2 and 2 together. See what happens.

Linked with Hertha Berlin winger Roy Beerens for around £1 million.

If we get him, I think that would be three Summers in a row we would have signed an internationally capped Dutch winger..

Villa after Cunningham apparently. :dis:
That'd be a bit weird. He was good for us last season sure but I don't think he's good enough for a team that will want to be challenging for automatics.

Hope we would hold out for at least £1.5mil anyway.

Also, apparently there was a Leicester scout at Chorley and Brig. Watching Browne maybe?

Tom Bradshaw has handed in a transfer request.

Bad news for us in a day of terrible news, Millwall won't budge from £2m we won't go that high, Forster-Caskey won't move this far north and every man and his dog will be after Bradshaw now.

Relegate us now and be done with it.

Club want £750k-£1m for Bradshaw apparently.

Someone will stump that up, especially considering they know he wants to leave and everyone will be interested now, someone will stump the fee up.

Ryan Taylor who you had on trial has now gone to Wigan as well.

I imagine considering how cheaply we let him go we at least had some form of sell on clause on him, could be a nice little earner for us in the region of £150,000 - £300,000, would help cover wages for someone or a loan player etc.

Relatively little risk there compared to some of our other signings, still want us to go for him.

I'd laugh - like you did at us when the chips were down, but I won't...

You're only a few signings away from being alright, the bottom few in this league look extremely weak at present.

What's the issue then as you seem to be linked strongly with loads of very good players but don't seem to be able to get deals sorted? Constantly getting gazumped?

Paul Douglas our chief executive notorioualy fucks up deals with his inability to offer people what they are worth.

Would you like to name them as I certainly wouldn't want to? :eyes:
