Supposedly signing Sean Maguire from Cork City on a pre-contract tomorrow, 22yr old who has scored 18 in 30 this season.

Scouts also sent to look at Cork's Kevin O'Connor and Dundalk's Daryl Horgan according to a journo over there.

Seddon said yesterday that as far as he knows there's nothing in this or the Horgan rumours. Wouldn't surprise me though, Browne is mates with Maguire apparently.

Some noise Hogan and Judge will both leave in Jan (Judge not surprising).

Judge will go for £2m to Newcastle, a pretty fair price given he's only got 6 months left on his contract. Massive shame to see him go, been my favourite player, and arguably the best player I've ever seen in a Bees shirt.

Hogan is linked with a £9-12m move to Burnley / Sunderland / take your pick of relegation threatened PL sides. Newcastle also watching in case Perez is sold.

Obviously a long way out from Jan; so a lot could change, but the Judge deal should go through.

I'd be gutted if we lost Magners, but £10m would be a very good price for someone who signed for £2.5m in the summer.

Not saying a club wont pay it, wouldn't surprise me knowing how desperate clubs are to cling on to their PL status nowadays, but it doesn't mean he is worth it. Anyone who shells out £10m for an average/fairly decent CB from the 2nd tier is crazy if you ask me.

The bid for Magnusson blatantly won't happen, its like when Bryan was linked with a move to Everton in 4 of the last 6 transfer windows for various prices.

If I'm wrong and a bid did come in it would have to be accepted at that price, but I'd be sad to see our best defender leave so soon after joining.

Morecambe fans think Tom Barkhuizen to PNE has been wrapped up, they're allowed to sell players before the window due to their financial situation.

Won't play for us until the window re-opens though.

He's 23, supposedly quick and can play out wide or up front, ex-lasher though, Grayson and Steve Thompson know him well. I'll trust them after what they've done with Hugill.

Preston North End have come to a pre-contract agreement with former Morecambe forward Tom Barkhuizen.

The 23-year-old recently cancelled his contract with the north Lancashire side, but will sign a two-and-a-half year deal with the Lilywhites on January 1st. In the meantime he will train with the North End squad.

The club has also agreed a compensation package with Morecambe, who retained their rights when cancelling his contract.

Not exactly an exciting one but neither was Jordan Hugill or Chris Maxwell, supposed to have plenty of pace about him so will probably provide a bit of cover for Callum Robinson at first.

Hated that game. Robbie Keane was my Wolves idol when I was a kid, having him put a few nails in our relegation coffin was hard to take.

I don't understand Jordan Rhodes. Should've had a much better career than he has but has never really managed to progress past being a good forward in this division - a little like Darren Huckerby a few years back!

Don't think he's ever had a fair crack at the Premier League though, the ridiculous price tags that have always been put on him have probably put a lot of clubs off buying him. No doubt about it he's probably the best goal scorer at this level.

Must say I'm quite surprised to see it work out for Wood at Leeds, I mean obviously he scored goals at other clubs at this level but weren't you're fans slating him big time last season? Fair play to him anyway he's doing well.

Some idiots were but he's scoring at more than 1 every two games since the back end of last year. He wasn't the best suited to a lone role in his early days here and he could be wasteful in front of goal but I'd rather have strikers getting there and missing three yet still scoring one in a game. He's fitter this year and is improving into a target man rather than just a goalscorer so yeah, definitely proved some people wrong.

Can't knock his record here and is still pretty young relatively speaking. Certainly wouldn't be looking to sell!
