Talking nonsense again 169.
which bit would that be?
at the very least make a counter point
Flint is on a par with Magnusson right now, but at 27 doesn't have a huge amount of scope to improve. At the moment he is a decent defender in this league, if our aim is to progress (which it is) then we will need to improve on him

The bit about us needing to upgrade on him, and him signing a year extension just for an extra bit of cash.

He's not going anywhere, and he's a good defender at this level. More than good enough for us. Maybe in years to come if we do progress Taylor Moore will break through to the first team and take his place, he looks very promising as well. Flint's got his best years to come still, he's only 27.

I'll move this over to the Bristol City thread when I get home for those who are about to moan.

I didn't say it is just for the cash though, just that that is a possibility if the club knows of any interest.

Can see Wells leaving in January but won't be for anything less than £5,000,000 in my eyes. He's too similar to Kachunga who I deem a better player.

We need someone in the mould of Wildschuit to play in that position. Someone with stature and movement and can win a header.

I think we'd certainly pay that for Nahki Wells and we definitely need at least one more striker, if not two. I'm sure there will be bigger clubs in for him though. Then again, if you don't ask...

Think any chances we'd have for him would depend on how we do over the next couple of months. Still find ourselves in mid table we can probably forget it but go on a good run, get ourselves in the playoffs looking like we're in with a shot come January, then who knows. Doubt they'd be any Prem suitors

Betting suspended on Paddy Power on Daryl Hogan's next club. We were as short as 1/12 when it was suspended with a number of sources in Ireland saying it's us.

I think half of this league will be in for him. I would love him at LR.
Mhm, very few could afford the fee though, let alone his ridiculous wages.

It would be a loan deal wouldn't it? I could see a team around the play offs taking a gamble on his goals getting them over the line.

Supposedly want to sign their centre back as well, Boyle or something, not Susan.

Don't know anything about him but he's meant to be highly rated so would be happy with this. Can't imagine he will be too expensive so worth a gamble.

I think you're one of few Championship clubs that will and probably could pay his wages to be fair Liam.
while I would like to see him at the Gate, the rumoured £40-50K a week is way beyond us.

How could you afford it WTGR Matt? Is the enormous fine still hanging over QPR?

I would love him at QPR but I cannot see us paying his wages. And I forgot all about the fine! No idea what is happening with it to be honest, it has all gone very quiet.

Definitely pal, would love Rhodes at Hillsborough but he wouldn't come cheap, don't think a loan will be an option either. Villa are also rumoured to be after him but if he comes here he's more likely to be starting and still on a big wage, he's just spent a long time on the bench at Boro so maybe we'd be appealing. Think he'd solve our problem of taking chances for sure.

Lots of reports in Ireland that Daryl Horgan and Andy Boyle to PNE is very likely, with a third Dundalk player, Sean Gannon also linked now.

Watched the second half of Dundalk's game tonight, Horgan looks a player, deal supposedly close to bring him to North End.

Bailey Wright is leaving us either this window or in the summer.

Potentially two great pieces of business by North End there on free transfers.

I'd like Bailey Wright to stay but he's replaceable if he decides to move on, good defender but we've lost much better in the past.
