Honestly feel like the club is just fucking with our knuckle dragger fans. Rumour Lambert is going, KD goe mental kicking off and demanding answers, owners wait 2 weeks before sacking him, they then hire a Portuguese guy who has a gold ultimate team card, fans moan about a glut of foreign mercenaries...club almost immediately announce the most typically sounding and looking CB you can get for this division.

He's not very good. He's very slow, makes silly mistakes (like against Fulham this season when a freekick comes in and is drifting out for a goal kick and he pushes the striker and gives a penalty away), can't deal with long balls over the top and gives away so many free kicks for pulling players when competing in the air. He is decent enough at the last ditch stuff, he'll put his body on the line and isn't afraid to put his foot in.

He also once told an Arsenal fan to meet him outside for a fight on twitter once.

I think there is a probably a good player in there somewhere. He had a lot of potential when we signed him but hasn't developed at all. I'd say a big question mark over him is his actual desire to fulfil that. Seems much more interested in stuff outside of football.

Would have loved to see him sign a new contract. Been well known he was pretty much gone since January. Still put in 100% in every game since then though. Can't compete with the wages unfortunately but I'm sure we'll give a good go of finding another adequate replacement someplace most other clubs won't be looking.

He'll be a good addition to most teams in this league so a good bit of business for Norwich.

Says that he has a clause in his contract allowing him to go out on loan if Villa failed to get promoted.

If it's true, still wouldn't happen anyway being out injured till October/November..?

Yes and No. I think the headline that the press have given it is a bit misleading if you read the story behind it. Essentially the story seems to be that we offered him a new contract and he said he wasn't ready to commit as he would rather finish his career up north closer to his family and would be 31 when his current contract expires.

Now that might mean that we try to cash in this summer but I think we'd want at least £10m and I don't really see a team willing to pay that for him and I don't think it's him actively wanting to leave at any cost so not sure he'd kick up much of a fuss if we rejected a couple of bids. If you have made the play offs and been promoted then likely it would be different.
