Being honest do you think any of your big names saw Wolves as an ideal destination? The Fosun/Mendes mafia have a lot to do with it and ridiculous wages.

Shame football is this way but we are all culpable as fans and clubs.

Doubt it. Ruben Neves could have picked Milan, Rome, London, Turin, Monaco or to stay in Porto. Instead he's chosen Bilston, Willenhall amongst other lovely Wolverhampton suburbs. We've probably doubled his wage and told him if we're not in the Premier League in the next 1/2 years that he can go to one of Europe's elite. It's laughable that we're buying players like this. Starting to realise what it's like to be a Man City fan post 2006.

Get Ebanks Landell, Mike Williamson and Neil Collins back whilst you're at it.

Very decent signing

Aye, a Wright replacement in the heart of defence I imagine, experience for experience to keep bringing the likes of O'Connell along. 3-year deal for a 'substantial' undisclosed fee

Right, so to sum up our rumours at the minute...

We're signing Whelan but we're not because he's going to Burnley.
We're in pole position to sign both Joe Hart and Sam Johnstone and both will be signing next week on loan.

Is it wrong that even if we did have a chance of signing Hart I'd rather have Johnstone as we could realistically sign him permanently and he's already had 6 months to settle at the club?

Bettinelli rumours won't go away, he's not travelled to Poland on their pre-season tour.

Please happen, been a while since we've had a decent keeper. I'll be more than content as long as the deal doesn't involve Flint going the other way.

Man City only want to let Hart go permanently? That's why West Ham and Newcastle can't afford him.

Loan with a view to a £10million purchase upon promotion supposedly.

It's all rumours right now, we'll see.

It's weird that you'd want Johnstone considering you think he's shite

hope you do sign Hart, he's calamitous enough to make numerous mistakes even at this level

is calamitous even a word?

Ah, I'd expect the two Prem teams to be all over a deal like that then given they're both in the shitter goalkeeper wise.

Big year for Joe Hart, not sure playing football in the Championship would be the best move for his WC No.1 hopes.

Thought he was shite. As he was when he first signed. Once he settled he was brilliant though.

Agreed.

Same, thus why I'm calling bullshit.

Yep, can't see why he'd come down to the Championship and hope to keep his no. 1 spot, no chance at all imo.

Was he? Genuine question or are you just saying it cos we've signed him?

I'd give him a 6/10 for last season. In all honesty though I think he'd be a good signing for you.

Also scored against Liverpool within 1 minute, has legend status for that alone.

Rickie Lambert has had his contract terminated. 25k a week and all I remember him doing is shooting off kick-off against Sheffield Wednesday.

He was shit last season for Wulfs
I know mate, had a bad two years but there's still a good player in there I think. Better than what SU have currently got anyway.

If anyone can get the best out of players it's Wilder. Please with this one. We aren't going to be signing top6 players, staying up is the main aim and he's good enough for that.

Forestieri ripped him apart at Molineux

Foristieri is probably one of the best 3 players in the league though if he wants to be so I'm not too concerned with that.

We're signing Kamohelo Mokotjo from FC Twente. DM, South African international, was their captain last season. Completed more passes in the Eredivisie than any other player last season. Fee is apparently around €1m.

If true (which it seems very likely it is) it's a brilliant signing. We were supposedly in for him both of the last two summers, so great to get him across the line. A new striker and new contracts for Dean and Jota and we're ready to go!

Liam Kelly signs a new 3 year contract. Very important extension as he is the future of Reading. Probably our most important CM now Danny Williams has gone.
