If we were the buyer, then Joe Mason would be the £15m Joe Mason.

I'm intrigued by the waiting. There has to be a striker deal being brewed, and I can't believe it's a loaner (Unless it's Ibrahimovic). Much as I like Enobakhare, Mason and Dicko (and Bodvarsson), I don't believe these will keep the owners and the new regime happy. I reckon someone a bit disgruntled, maybe in the shadow of someone a bit better, or currently a bit injured. If not already a bit injured, we can arrange that in the first few months of playing for us. (Zyro, Graham, Wilkinson, Rowe, etc)

Chicharito? Alassane Pléa? Maybe Mame Diouf? All into the last year of their contracts, I think. Pléa would be good. Yeh, we'll have one of him...one Alessane Pléa, a decaff skinny latté and an iced bun, please miss.

You have forgotten the secret part of the puzzle, he is called Duckens Nazon :cool1:

Rotherham too!

Who's touring Rotherham?

Pleased to see we've signed Will Norris. Must be disheartening for Lonergan though: "Even though Ikeme's got leukaemia, you can go."
I do wonder what's up with Burgoyne though. Presumably one or other will be loaned out.

Rumours that Leeds are also interested in Conor Coady as well as Batth and Doherty. Will be very sad to see Coady go. Iorfa left out of touring squad so looks like he's on his way. West Ham and Everton were interested in him in January, but I think he had a poor end of season so I reckon he'll end up with a smaller Championship club. Like Derby or Sunderland.

Britt looking like he's off to Boro. Seems to be an INSANE fee coming our way, £15m +

Take that, if he has to go we might as well get some ridiculous funding to build the rest of the squad.

Think I'd rather have him than the money. Who you going to replace him with?

All over the Cardiff and City forums, Lee Tomlin to Cardiff for £2- 3M. If they get the Lee Tomlin we had on loan, they're getting one hell of a player but if it's the Lee Tomlin of last season, it's not.
If he's fit, it's a bad move by us. :(

"Hi it's Nottingham Forest here we'd like to enquire about....."

15m...

"But we haven't said who we want"

15m or no deal....

It's an effective way to do business and like I said, we can't really grumble with that.

We have Brereton, Cummings and Vellios, so will make do I imagine. Brereton has the potential to score buckets.

Don't know how to feel about this, big money for someone that has had attitude problems his whole career. But then when his head is screwed on he is a decent player. Plus it would be worth signing him just to remind you lot that you're beneath us. ;)

He'll enjoy looking at all those empty seats next season Dai! ;)
In all seriousness, I can't see him an Warnock going a whole season without a tete a tete, he's rather outspoken to say the least.

We're at a training camp in Ireland so rumours are annoyingly quiet at present.

Only news is Frankie McAvoy has left Norwich and will no doubt be coming in as Neil's No.2.

By signing someone who wasn't in the side for half the season?

Depends which forum mate, if its Cardiff City Forum then not really no. The guy running it used to be part of Sams inner circle and likes to pass off info he hears third hand as his own exclusives. On CCMB though that poster normally has it right, BUT he hasn't actually named Tomlin.

Anything better than buck-toothed farmers though eh? :bg: But like you I also couldn't see them going the season without a bit of verbals going on. That's another reason why I can't see it happening.
But having said that a load of our players and official account on Instagram has started following Tomlin. That's pretty much confirmation nowadays isn't it?

10 minutes after posting about no rumours, the Times are claiming we're one of the clubs interested in loaning Tosin Adarabioyo from Man City.

6ft 5 England Under 19 centre back

'Buck- toothed farmers' Dai? You do know that Bristol is bigger than Cardiff don't you? :fing:
Tomlin is a bit of a diva at times and there were many rumours of toys being launched out of the pram. I just can't see him and Warnock getting on but it might be that a disciplinarian is just what he needs?
One of the problems while with us is that he moved from Bristol, back to Leicester and was commuting. Maybe that's why he was a tad rotund!

When he's fit, he's our best player by a country mile.
Edited accordingly.
Many of those 38 appearances were for the last 10 / 5 minutes of games with a 'save the game' instruction.
Good though he is, LT let himself down last season IMHO.

Soccerbase said he played 38 league games last season?
Fair few of them were sub cameos.
He's our best player by a country mile, ignore 169.
Oh dear, what's upset you now?
A player who throws a tantrum every year is leaving and the fee we are getting is almost exactly what we paid for him and in the year in between he spent most of the time doing bugger all.

He is quality at times, but, much like JET and Jackie before him, he is his own worst enemy when it comes to his career.
If Cardiff get the Tomlin we had on loan, they have made a great signing, if they get the Tomlin of last year then LJ, Ashton and SL will be laughing for the next 3 years

Ipswich want Bodvarsson apparently. Hope it's not true, he's shit but he has a cult hero status with the fans.

It's this that doesn't make sense as to why Warnock would be interested in him. There's no way that Warnock would let him get away with the shit he was done his whole career. Unless of course he thinks he is the one that can change him. Still once a c*** always a c*** I say.

A single unitary authority for urban Dorset
Adam Federici - anyone in need of a keeper? He's still recovering from an ACL injury but he's in training again.

Australian press reported that we'd allowed Sydney FC to talk with him, but Federici turned them down because "The ex-Reading stopper is understood to have a number of offers on the table from clubs in the Championship and would prefer to stay in England."

Signed on a freebie from Reading a couple years back and has had nothing but poor luck from injury (and mistakes) ever since. Unlikely we'd ask much seeing as we signed him for nothing in the first place.

Speaking of Lee Tomlin, Max Gradel appears to be off to Sunderland for a similar fee, and he's a far, far better player. Wages probably more though I guess, but Sunderland getting much the better attacking mid for me.

I cannot stand Warnock and will never ever hide this. To the point that regardless of how City were doing I would not attend, whereas under almost any other manager (there are one or two others in the same group as Warnock) I would watch City even if we were in the Southern League.

BUT I will say Warnock seemed to (from memory) handle Taraabt fairly well, and he's another sulky player. Of course every person is different but football managers have to back themselves to do things in general and Warnock would be as good a bet as any to get the best out of Tomlin.

Warnock is still a tosser though
