Think it's dependant on if Shotton goes, Middlesbrough had a bid rejected last week. More likely he's there to look over the players before we play you in two weeks.
Nope, he's just confirmed he was there for Flint. Would be a bit surprised if he went to you, it would make more sense for him to go to Boro or Leeds: they'd offer similar wages and, in all seriousness, those two clubs probably have a better chance of reaching the Premier League than you do.

Ipswich, QPR and Barnsley are all interested in Omar Bogle, he's been transfer listed by Wigan and is apparently available for 800k. Leeds interested in Negredo apparently, but Swansea are in for him too.

Harry is looking to build a team that will challenge for promotion. He wouldn't be here if our aspirations was mid-table.

Linked with the 2nd best Jota in the division (Brentford's one). Can't see it ever happening but imagine Jota and Jota on either wing...

Also Danny Batth linked with Sheff Wed, Villa and Hull.

Looking to build a team to do it and actually doing it are different prospects. Ideally we'd win the league, you lot second and Wolves win the play-offs with the Baggies staying up, would make for a very fun PL next season.

Of course you aspire to get promoted, and of course Harry is looking to build a team that will challenge for promotion, but Middlesbrough already have a team that will almost definitely challenge for automatic promotion, and Leeds may already have one too (depending on how good the foreigners are). You're squad is a good one, and I do think you may be in the running for the play-offs come the end of the season, but I would be a bit shocked if you were challenging for automatic promotion in May.

Send WBA down, the premier league is tired of Tony Pulis and his stone age football tactics.

We've been looking for promotion for the last two years and still been shit despite the money spent. Wouldn't count on it, maybe would've if you'd kept Rowett...

You've got the money for it. £15m and we'll do a deal?

As much as I like him I think we'll only be signing strikers now, with a fully fit midfield we have Jota, Cavaliero, Costa, Zyro, Neves, Edwards, Ronan, Price, Evans, and Graham.. can't see us adding to that.

The Mirror reporting we've bid £20m to bring Andre Gray back home. Wonder how much of that would go to Brentford.

Abel Hernandez is the latest name to be linked, would be one hell of a signing for us if it happens.

Daily Mirror continue to keep suggesting that we're close to signing Nahki Wells and Sone Aluko. I wouldn't mind both, but the prices being suggested are ridiculous.

Supposedly we also had a £1.5m bid for Bacuna turned down. Not sure why we would want him. Ended our interest anyway.

25% on profit, so would be £3m or so

I'm more confused at us turning down that bid, but there we are.

Fulham manager has said Aluko is going nowhere.

You,be been trying to sign Frazier Campbell for 15 years it feels like!

Yeah, things soured after his loan spell here about 10 years ago. For 2 consecutive years he was supposed to be signing, only to end up on loan at Spurs and then sign permanently for Sunderland. His stock fell dramatically with our fans, and he was pretty much despised since. Most of that ill-feeling towards him left the minute his signing was announced - it's maybe 10 years too late, but it feels like he's finally come home, so to speak.

Could be signing Johan Djourou on a free transfer, been playing a fair bit in the Bundesliga and definitely has the pedigree. Be a good signing this and plug the problem we have at centre back.

Danny Batth keeps getting linked with Sheff Wed according to our local press.

He's not that bad I don't think. probably a 1 goal in 4 striker, which at this level is probably on par with most strikers. I like him, but with the money we are splashing about I think he will be shipped out.

Finally news of an incoming striker, Leo Bonatini a 23 year old from Brazil.

The 23-year-old Al Hilal player is on the verge of completing a season-long loan deal after undergoing a medical at Compton Park today.

The former Cruzeiro youngster has been playing in Saudi Arabia for the past year and netted 15 goals in 36 appearances.

He had previously impressed in the Portuguese top flight for Estoril where he bagged 20 goals in 37 matches in 2015/16 after initially moving from Cruzeiro on loan.
