We've got one fit one plus Matty Taylor and Cauly Woodrow, neither of whom are up to this level.
Two strikers? Flash git! ;)
Don’t you also still have Wilbs?

Tbf, 2 is definitely not enough at this level, neither is 3.

Wilbs went to Bolton in the summer mate, with all our best wishes. His family are based in Manchester so it's totally understandable.

Strange move but Jack Price is signing for MLS team Colorado Rapids. We sold Kevin Doyle there a couple of years ago too.

Also recalled Lee Evans from Wigan as Sheff Utd have had a bid accepted of £750k.

Sort of player that would flourish under a manager like Wilder. Always liked him myself, looks like he could be a good centre mid in this league, and recently broke into the Welsh team. Had a very good start of the season at Wigan.

Can be a bit of a c*** too though. A few years ago we rejected a bid from Watford for him and he refused to play for us over it. Since then I think his career at Wolves has been over.

Seem to recall that if he doesn't get in the first team, his brother tweets abuse at the manager, the club and the fans, and everyone else. Like having Donald Trump's lad in the team, I guess.
Never thought much of Lee Evans. He sweats a lot too. More seriously, Evans always looked a bit lightweight. I think a lot of the Wolves Academy have looked like that in recent years (and I know he came in from Newport not the Academy) but he never set the place alight. He was a lot like George Saville. I admit when I saw his name was in the starting lineup, a little of me died each time.

Personally, I think he's great at League 1 level (but then I said that about Saville too and he's doing great at The Den). I reckon you can do a lot, lot better than Evans. Even Jack Price is a better deal.

Well wilder hasn't fucked up so far so his judgement is good enough for me. If him and Leonard sign we are fully covered in the midfield area now which we were struggling in, I believe we are trying to get Ryan Kent on loan from Liverpool too. The squad as a whole is looking much better if they sign put it that way. Pretty much covered in all areas I wonder if wilder may go for a striker too.

Russell, Weimann, Lawrence and Bennett are wingers, the first three being in our starting 11.

Vydra, Nugent, Winnall and Martin are all in the match day squad. Martin may well leave but I'd put my mortgage on him not joining Grimsby.

That leave's Darren Bent, who's returning from injury. A possibility but huge wages, who knows. I think he'd stay in the Championship too, plenty more goals left in him IMO.

I'd probably be looking at either Zanzala from our under 23's or Mason Bennett, he's not getting much game time at all with the firsts. He plays central for our under 23's at times so he could be the man despite him being predominantly a wide man option for our first team.
Lol no way Fenty would pay the wages of Martin or Bent, n if he did they would be off their rockers to wanna come here.

Yeah it will probably be the under 23 lad then didn't really think of that, apparently whoever it is was born in Scunny I've heard today though so maybe not?

Edit: I'm hearing that it is Charles Vernam who has a total of 1 career goal to date so he should fit in just perfectly here as we've currently scored 1 goal in our past 6 games. :brill:

I don’t watch much of our 23’s but those who do only have good things to say about Vernam.

Not a proven player at any level though, if it happens I hope it works out for all parties. The pathway for our 23’s to the first team is non existent at the moment so this can only be a good thing.

That’s where Tommy Smith is supposedly close to signing for. The old New Zealand manager is there apparently which would make sense for Smith.

Smith isn’t the answer for us but considering we’ve only got 3 senior CBs and one is injured, selling Smith is mad!

EXCLUSIVE: Preston beat Prem suitors in race to sign ‘next Andy Carroll’

Preston North End have won the race to land Hartlepool United starlet Connor Simpson, beating off a host of Premier League clubs.

The 17-year-old, likened to Andy Carroll, has come through the ranks at Victoria Park – but they have failed to tie him down to a professional contract.

Liverpool, Everton, West Ham, Newcastle and Scottish giants Celtic – had all watched him, and made approaches about striking a deal.

But now we can reveal that Preston have moved to seal a deal and Simpson is set to join Alex Neil’s side before the close of the window this month.

£65k was the fee mentioned a while back, would be happy with this, hopefully we can develop him like we did with Hugill.

Supposedly money problems at Rangers too so could see us resurrect a deal to sign Josh Windass.

Think you will have got him for free. Hadn't signed a pro-contract with us, so at best we'll get compo with him being a youth. It looks like we will be going into administration on 25th January too, so we can hardly haggle with you over a price! Strange signing mind, he doesn't have the strength that Hugill has, and for a big lad he doesn't win many headers. Obviously he is still young, so hopefully you can develop him. Good move for the lad to get away from the hell hole that is Hartlepool United.

Like how being likened to Andy Carroll is supposed to be a big selling point.

It would actually just lead me to believe you've basically spent £65k on a big lumux who doesn't score many.

Aye, hopefully the physical side will come, to carry on with the Andy Carroll link, we had him on loan when he was 18 and he was a beanpole.

Must have something about him so worth a punt on the cheap.

Hopefully your financial situation gets sorted.

If we sell him to Liverpool for £35m then i'll be quite pleased.

Can you send £2m our way so we don't go bust, please?

He definitely has something about him. Scores regularly for the youth team. Hasn't performed when given chance in first team so far.
