If we manage to bring the Croatian lad, Tom Pearce and Marcus Tavernier in before deadline this will go from being a very good window to an amazing one.
Tavernier would be a great signing for most teams at this level, and the Kulenovic guy sounds good too (still haven’t given out hope that we’ll get him)

Isn't he just a woman in disguise?
If it is, that's one ugly woman!

Joao to Reading confirmed, pretty certain the only reason we've sold him is because there is no interest in the likes of Winnall, Forestieri and Nuhiu, quite bittersweet but good business if it helps us do some work between now and Thursday. I still think he will go for at least double what Reading have paid in 1-2 years time.

One of our youngsters, Zac Vyner is off to Aberdeen on loan. Given we are after a left sided central defender and have a few rumours of interest in Scott McKenna from them to replace Webster, I wouldn't be surprised to see McKenna in BS3. I gather they want £6M for him.

The money being thrown around in this division is offensive. No club, even those selling for big fees can realistically afford the salaries for multiple players of 5-10 million a pop. FFP is a joke

FFP isn't the issue, the money in the league above is. It's the only reason why teams are doing what they're doing in this division.

I know, but last year it was suggested that we were running close to being hit with a ffp sanction, despite selling ten million pounds worth of players, spending two million to replace them, with the incoming on comparable salaries.

You’ve then got the likes of reading and qpr blowing 5 million quid a pop on signings despite similar fan base sizes, and massively Greater debts. It’s completely nuts.

We’ve had a £7m bid accepted for Saman Ghoddos - yeah I’ve no idea either.

Striker who scored 4 times in the French top flight last season...

Love the ambition of a £7m bid, trust the DoFs to put it in the right place.
I swear you just make these names up!

And there you have the difference between your team and those potentially staying up. It’s cheating and until a team is expelled from the league (which isn’t going to be too far away I expect) a light bulb won’t go off.

Our CEO made some interesting points this weekend - the money we made for Justin and Stacey; only a third of that will go towards recruitment and the other two thirds towards facilities and sustainability.

Saman Ghoddos was one of Ostersunds' strikers in their decent Europa League campaign the other year if anyone remembers that.

There are a few clubs in this league where it’s hard to understand where the money comes from. They’ll get found out eventually, and a lot of the tricks they are pulling at the moment (selling stadiums to the owners) only work once, they’ll run out of options at some point.

We may not see clubs fold like Bolton, but there’ll be loads of FFP penalties in the next few years.

There's a Championship team in for Louis Moult on loan, Luton were linked in January so I'd guess at them.

There will always be other tricks to cheat it, Derby sold their stadium to their owner, now they’re pretending that Rooney is a coach, they’ll think of something else by next summer.

So on this Rooney deal...
-Derby sell the ground to comply with FFP.
-They put him down as a phoney coach to not have to put all his wages towards FFP.
-Their sponsor, a casino business, pays Rooney’s wages.

That is everything that is wrong with the Championship there.

Nketiah to make his mind up this morning according to Phil Hay, we've a deal in place but it's up to Arsenal and the player to decide. If he signs I'd expect Taylor to go to Charlton.

Don't coaches also count towards FFP? I thought it was only investment in infrastructure that didn't (so things like training ground improvements, stadium improvements, etc).

Think I read development staff don't count towards it so presume he'll be a 'youth coach' on paper.

Dijksteel has gone to Boro from Charlton for £2m, seems like a good deal for Boro.

It's been touted as bollocks, Rooneys salary will fall within the calculations for FFP.

Luton Town have been in administration how many times? Don't be smug when there's still small business owed from you lot hitting the wall.

Liam, we've a sell on clause for Joao, if he finally grows up we may see some of that, if not he will be back in Portugal inside 2 years.

Hector, Luongo and Jacob Murphy linked with moves today.

It's not going down like that apparently, 32 Red are fronting the 80k wages for him in extra sponsorship (the record breaking one we announced yesterday) so that's how we'll cover that. Good publicity for them and the club init. This was open (and still is) for everyone to exploit. Whilst I don't think it's the way this division should be heading it's hard to compete with the parachute payment lot and why our finances are so 'creative'.

Baring in mind we've cleared 200k+ a week off the wage bill this summer already, we probably could have paid it ourselves anyway. Especially if we can somehow shift Carson, Martin and Anya (another 80k+ there).

You could only afford your current wage bill and 'stay' within FFP by selling your stadium - so you can't really afford it.

If 32Red are fronting most of his wages then that is a cracking deal for you, but can't see that they'd get enough return on investment for that money (over £4m per year), so it's much more likely they're only contributing a fraction of that (even a fraction of that would likely be record breaking).
