So the ex Spurs lad Thorpe was one for the future, not now?

Cantwell confirmed as gone to Bournemouth on loan for the rest of the season, with an £11 million option to buy if they're promoted.

No one's really sure what's gone wrong with Cantwell this season, but he's clearly not been right for a while for whatever reason and it's probably best for both parties to move on and give him a chance for a new start. Would be immensely disappointing if he helps them to promotion, we go down and we only get £11 million for him when before this season we'd have been disappointed with less than £20 million though.

So we have one less player than we did a few days ago. Really don’t understand that especially with the bleating about the number of games.

Seems we were interested in Luke Freeman but he seems to have wanted to go to Millwall instead of us so that was that.

Might be costly for him as it’s not clear if Millwall got it done in time as it was so late. Can’t say I’m that upset at that as seems a bit of a Tom Ince signing to me but maybe I’m wrong and he’ll pull up trees for Millwall.

It would be good to have replaced Rea but really no point bringing someone in for the sake of it. As mentioned think we’ve enough squad type players so if we didn’t think we were going to be able to get in a real quality player whose going to push the first 11 forward and become a mainstay on the Naismith/Adebayo level - there’s no point really. I guess you’d argue may as well keep Rea at that point but can imagine he didn’t want to spend the rest of the season as a bit part player so made sense for everyone for him to go out

This is how crazy footbal has got. Arsenal save £7.5M by giving Bang Bang (as my mate calls him cos he cant say his name) a free transfer rather than doing a loan to Barcelona ............

'Barcelona had 2m euros (£1.6m) in wages to pay and Aubameyang was happy to accept any payment In the end. Then Arsenal accepted a free transfer. That means the Gabon forward may just get 2m euros this season - rather than the circa 9m euros (£7.5m) he was due at Arsenal'

Looks like we got around €500,000 for Sluga.

Jones gave little bit away on the Kioso contract situation saying he has a big decision to make in the summer with regards him. Sounds like we have an option in his contract on whether it’s extended or not. Still think him and Kioso just don’t get on.

We wanted Freeman but couldn’t make it work with the budget so missed that boat. Sounds like it’s exactly what we thought, just couldn’t afford anyone that would significantly make us better so just looked to keep what we had as no point adding someone for the sake of it.

Makes reference to looking at free agents, not sure if we have someone in mind or who is available but probably a bit late to get someone up to speed now. Sounds like he expects Thorpe to start getting opportunities too

Wouldn’t surprise me if Freeman was in around £30K a week at Sheffield Utd and they’d want a big chunk of that paid each week. No way we’d be shelling that out even for a short term fix.

Ebosele has agreed a pre-contract to join Udinese, therefore he has joined Watford.

Never liked the setup there, always seemed like cheating to me.

WATFORD

Only if we want him - seem to only go for older defenders now !

Don’t really get many from them now.

1 or 2 each year.

Only submitted a 24 man squad.

Olosunde, Rudd & Huntington omitted.

Olosunde has been plagued by injury since he's been here, Rudd had a bad injury and will be moving back down south in the summer supposedly, and Hunts is 34 now and has supposedly had some personal stuff going on.

Allows us to add one of them at a later date if they're fit, or bring in a free agent.

By my rough estimates, we should be losing around £90k a week off the wage bill in the summer.

I'm hoping Lowe has as much control as possible on transfers and Ridsdale has no input over than signing some paperwork.

We’ve signed Robert Snodgrass. Left West Brom at the end of window and been without a club since then. Left footed which is something Jones has said we have been missing from our midfield players lately.

Not played too much this season but on face value, seems a good signing. Shows we are giving a play off push a real go off the pitch

Makes sense even if a gamble, its not an expensive one. A WBA fan on another forum commented when he wasnt injured, which was often, he was ’really’ shit.

Just signed Alex Palmer on an emergency loan from West Brom. Was probably needed after Steers injury against Chelsea. Was rumoured before we signed Steer that he was another keeper we were looking at so makes sense. Assume it’s going to be him in goal tomorrow

Lowe is going to speak to Brendan Rodgers next week about Daniel Iversen's future, i'd settle for just another loan but it'd be massive if we could sign him permanently. Easily our player of the season, and our best player in the second half of last season too.

We've already got some of our summer transfer targets training with us.

I'm guessing they're U23 players who are unlikely to get a deal at their current club, and players we might be able to take on a season long loan.

Nice to see us taking a pro-active approach for a change.

Wouldn't be surprised if we see something like 10 in, 15 out this summer.

Ryan Lowe saying the Hemmings have promised to back him this summer, we'll see...

We're using the same recruitment analytics agency Lowe used at Plymouth.

Will Boyle (Cheltenham) & Elliot Anderson (loan from Newcastle) are the rumours we've had in the past week.

Izzy Brown & Josh Murphy already booted out of the door, with Lowe saying they didn't meet the required standards. Hopefully loads more to follow them to the job centre

Would be a more than serviceable replacement for Shea. Played the majority of games for Hull which is why I find it a bit odd. I assume they’re not offering him a new deal?

Looks like we're poaching Fleetwood's head of recruitment, James Wallace. They seem to have unearthed a few decent young players from non-league in recent years.

Scouser who Lowe will know from Tranmere. Remember him being a decent player at L1 level.

Alan Nixon has linked us to Andre Gray on a free, if true, then I presume the money saved from Scott Sinclair's wage would be used to pay him.

If we get Archer back, which seems possible then Riis, Archer & Gray, with Evans & young Mikey O'Neill as back up seems pretty tasty.
