I believe him, why would he need to lie about that? Also, everyone who knows anything about MK Dons knows we don't have £700,000 - £1 million to spend on transfer fees. No Where near.

Well just a case Johnson has been saying all summer that we hadn't received any bids for our players, then a day or two ago reveals we've turned down several bids for Kodjia at various stages of the summer, again Johnson didn't really have any need to not reveal we'd received bids.

Because it happens with every undisclosed deal. Bournemouth's end were saying £3m for Tomlin, reports at our end said that it wasn't even £2.25m which was our previous record transfer.

Fair enough, but it was still nowhere near £1 million.

It's all going on at our end.

I'm delighted with Vydra, surprised we've had to pay so much, but I always say that players out of form are the best ones to sign. Pearson SHOULD back himself to get the best out of him, and since he's won the POTY award for the division before then it should work out in our favour.

Signing an in-form player tends to mean a premium price and a higher value gamble. If you take Bradley Johnson, for example, Alex Neill knew how to get the best out of him. He played in a system that complimented his attributes and he won POTY award in a team that was promoted. He signs for us, playing in a completely different system with completely different players and despite a strong start, he struggled to look comfortable. The management failed him and I imagine it wouldn't take much for us to let him go now.

Vydra's qualities should hopefully stretch teams and allow our attacking midfielders more space to get on the ball. It's hard to say whether Pearson can get the best out of him, but I'm positive we've at least signed a player with the potential to be a key player at this level.

I expect Hendrick will leave, although I can't say I'm bothered. We do need a central midfielder who can put his foot on the ball, able to play in a two and basically cover what Thorne does so well when he's injured.

About to launch a 2nd bid for Chris Martin, rumoured to be 8.5m.

I am going to say I don't believe there to be any truth in this. We've seemingly upped our wage structure but we haven't been throwing stupid money or even bidding stupid money if you believe the confirmed and sanctioned deals, not the bollocks.

I think we might be holding back to see where we are in Jan before any of the silly money deals happen.

Some tenuous links with a Swedish striker called Gustav Engvall from IFK Gothenburg. We were due to watch him yesterday but he didn't play

Yeah, time looks to be running out on us, seems we'll be starting the season with what we have.

Widely reported now that we have agreed a fee of 15 mil for kodjia... Crazy money, he ain't worth anywhere near that but we will take it!

Can only imagine a replacement has been lined up..

Villa now in pole to land Kodjia however the price has gone up another million to £15m, we need 2 strikers as we also need to replace Agard and it appears KA's replacement could be Waghorn, not too disappointed if he's happy to come down and be 3rd/4th choice with Wilbs depending what we need. We'll still be looking for a big name replacement for Kodjia apparently.

Seems we've finally grown a pair in terms of negotiating selling players.

Leeds '2 or 3 short' United.

Always chasing more going into the end of the window, never get them. We won't bring anyone worth getting in now I reckon. Will be some punt/panic buy because we have no loan window to fall back on.

Same old. Oh and Taylor will probably go tomorrow.

Expect Fulham to get 2 or 3 players in. At least one probably two strikers as well

£15m for Kodjia :eye::eye::eye:

One of the many benefit of having Lansdown I suppose, will only let our players go for daft money, whether they force it like Kodjia did or not.

Market's even further broken now, imagine what you'd want for Forestieri if you're basing it on the price that Kodjia's going for.

Dr Tony said he wants a world class striker on Twitter, not sure Kodjia quite fits into that category just yet.

After Atsu, I don't think we'll be involved in any more incomings to be honest. It's the happiest I've been with a squad in years - having 2 players in every position is an odd concept that I'm not used to.

It'll be a perfect window if the fringe players all leave too. Saivet gone to St Ettiene, Riviere close too and Tiote having a second medical in Turkey apparently.

Macheda leaves Cardiff by mutual consent. Managed to make a career on the back of one goal.

Aston Villa in "advanced talks" over Kodija according to BBC Sport. The deal could rise to £15 million, presuming that means add-ons.
