A battling 1-1 in atrocious conditions. Started with a back 5 and 2 were left by the end. Another couple of injuries to centre halves. Walsall will be licking their lips.

Mansfield 1 Sutton 1

The positives outweigh the negatives (injury concern aside of course) for the U’s. Solid enough performance against one the best sides in the league. Optimism is beginning to show.

Another side we should’ve absolutely battered IF we had a forward.

But we don’t.

GO BUY A FORWARD!!!!!

17 goal attempts 2 on target, fuck sake.

Wasn't just MK Dons fans. Bradford have had a few dinosaurs in charge on recent years, so kinda fits. Bowyer? Hughes? Or is that being unkind to either?
Bowyer and Adams yes. Hughes had his faults but the football was like prime Brazil in comparison to this tripe.

You’ll be OK Saturday. We’re an absolute shambles of a club at the moment. Fearing we may be witnessing the end game for my club.

Not sure a single forward turns that into a battering tbh. You only had the 1 header really that should have been scored. Didn’t create much, understandable in the circumstances. Though you didn’t create loads at ours either.

The MK manager and one of their players describing tomorrow's match as a derby match !! Clueless it will never be that .
Honestly this is the reason you have such a poor record in these games. Keep treating them like non events that shouldn’t be happening and we’ll keep taking points off you.

Admittedly the conditions were abysmal tonight and Sutton defended well and were organised throughout but we really put in a poor performance, all made worse by the fact the reason we did not win is because we literally passed the ball to Lee Angol in our own box to score within the first 10 minutes, perfect for a side in a relegation battle with 10 men behind the ball.

Despite all that I’m not gunna make a argument we deserved to win, we barely made fuck all chances for the entire game, we look devoid of ideas and creativity which is something we have not experienced this season. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to suggest we are out of form right now and look a bit of a spent force if I’m being honest, we desperately need some additions upfront before January ends.

Shoutout to the officials too, both linesmen were terrified to put a flag up and the referee put in one of the most one sided performances, the inconsistency in to what is a foul or a yellow depending on who they played for, or giving Sutton the ball when we had it after a head clash, he literally had no idea what he was doing, very fortunate nothing that changed the result of the game so a well deserved point for Sutton.

We lost as we nearly always do against that lot. Just need to get past the return fixture in early march then we can ignore them for a few months.

Hughes was very much like Southgate, tried to play possession based football but far too slow. Alexander and Bowyer are more in the traditional dinosaur, try not to play modern football at all costs and Adams.

Said it weeks ago, but the squad Hughes assembled is horrific. Old, slow, lacking in technical ability in the middle, decent firepower to support Cook, creativity in any area, be that down the middle, out wide etc.

Doesn't matter who the manager is, they aren't getting more out of this squad without some dramatic surgery.

2 Wimbledon players sent off in the Grudge Derby, sounds like the game a bit feisty?

Nah, it was just that 2 players pulled down Max Dean when he was running through on goal as the last man. The exact same foul twice

How is Dan Kemp playing? I look at your line-up with Jack Payne, Gilbey and Kemp pretty enviously tbh.

He's the Dan Kemp of Milton Keynes again. I'm not a huge fan because he's not anywhere close to the same player I kept hearing about with you or Hartlepool, though to his credit it was a good run to get his tap in goal last night.

That all being said he's growing back into the team and his long range efforts have gone from off target to on target and he's looking more like a focal point that the team want to get involved, so maybe one of these days...

Jack Payne, Joe Tomlinson and Max Dean are the stand outs though, Kemp's got a long way to go to break into that bracket for me.

I agree to an extent but considering how Kemp has been shuttled from piller to post by 4? different managers under us he's got some lee way in my view. Put it this way, I'd rather have him in our team than Swindons.

Nah, it was pretty tepid, the 2 reds were for basically bringing down the franny when he was through on goal, although the second looked fairly soft.

He's still a kid and tbh is one of those players you're happy with in your team but pissed off with if he's opposition. can be an annoying little cvnt :bg:. He'a also very good for 19 yo. I suspect he will will be a target further up the food chain in September if we don't get promoted.

Tough one at wimbledon, drew 0-0 at home and comfortably the best side we’ve played at field mill this season, they could’ve won that game really.

Not going myself due to overtime at work, but we’d sold the original 700 and requested more, which is a great effort.

As said on the other thread apart from wimbledon our fixtures are “kinder” next month, so a point wouldn’t be bad, though of course depends on what happens against sutton at home tuesday.
Your game at ours on Saturday probably just got a bit easier following our debacle at the winky-dome last night....
Ryan Johnson looks to be out injured after going off after 20 mins last night, his replacement Paul Kalambayi then red carded and suspended for Saturday unless it's overturned. Hus Biler also red carded and suspended, although we have a fairly good replacement in Isaac Ogundere who's a bit unlucky to be out of the team lately. It likely means we'll have either Lee Brown or youngster Ethan Sutcliffe deputising at centre back as Alex Pearce probably won't be 100% yet.
Omar Bugiel will be back from the Asian Cup which hopefully means Josh Davison is benched. Expect to see a cameo from new signing Ronan Curtis, he would have come on last night but we had to bring on another defender after the second red.
Hoping to see a bit of a reaction after the franchise capitulation, but I wouldn't bet my house on it...

I don’t expect us to get anything against Stockport on Saturday but I do expect us to give them a game now as player wise we are now far stronger than we were. We’ve gone from having,
Lawlor, Sterry, Anderson, Wood, Long Faulkner, Senior, Maxwell, Rowe, Close, Westbrook, Ravenhill, Miller, Lavery and Taylor all out injured at the same time with Broadbent and Biggins also missing the odd game to now where the only ones missing are,
Lawlor, Faulkner, Senior, Westbrook, Ravenhill, Miller and Lavery while adding Craig, Carty, Waters and Adalekun. We now have the players that will allow GM play his preferred formation and at a higher tempo.

A lot of Stags fans feeling a bit down because we’ve seemingly not signed anyone in time for this (never rule out a late announcement mind) which if that’s the case it’s going to be Akins upfront alone, again, which admittedly does feel a bit depressing.

Always more confident away from home, any side in this division could turn up at Field Mill and get a result right now so I’m glad to be away.

We’ve probably got the strongest player selection McCann has had since he came back so really no excuse to not give Stockport a game and if they win they will have earned it.
Difficult to say what the lineup will be but I’ll go with.

We're also looking stronger than we did a couple of weeks ago against Walsall. 2 or 3 returning from injury and a couple of young loanees in through the door. Still missing some key players but we have been all season.
