It was looking desperate under Steve Cotterill. He would set us up not to lose but still lose anyway, with no plan B after going a goal behind. Massive improvements with Garry Monk… same players, different team. Playing with lot more confidence and positivity.

Think we’ll finish above Barnsley & Reading but would be typical Blues now to get zero points from Ipswich (H), Bolton (A) & Burton (H) after the performance against Hull.

Well done against Ipswich. Bolton away will be difficult. Well try to do you a favour at Oakwell.

Villa (A), Preston (H) and Sunderland (H) for us in the next two weeks - get two good results out of that and I think we'll be safe.

If Birmingham win their game in hand I think that's it for burton unfortunately, and less unfortunately Sunderland

Yeah, Burton messed up massively today. They needed to hang on for those 3 points. Burton, and Sunderland are down for me.

Shame to lose Burton, would have been rest to see Birmingham go down

Birmingham 1 up but down to 10 men at Bolton - big win if they hold on.

Bottom 3 are looking gone now, Birmingham definitely made the right decision getting Monk, while Barnsley hired someone with no experience and a young squad. They have to win their game in hand to have any chance now.

Were they as bad on Monday against you lot as their position suggests? If so, how on earth did Derby lose 4-1 to them at home (a question more for Derby fans, obviously)?

Every week that goes by, I think they're a massive club for this division, there's no way they can be as bad as the league table tells us and they'll surely pick up, but it never really happens and the gap to safety gets bigger with fewer games left.

Hopefully they'll have bottomed out next season and another relegation, dire though it is, will help them to get that winning feeling and feel-good factor back at the club.

Because we’re the most ridiculous team this division has ever seen. Sunderland weren’t good against us, we were just incredibly awful.

Fuck me that was a battle, felt relatively comfortable until the sending off then it was just relentless bombardment for 25 minutes, big physical side Bolton, we had to, and did, defend like absolute warriors.

3 wins on the bounce and 3 clean sheets, quite literally could not have happened under Cotterill, Burton on Saturday is massive for us.

Aaaaaaand relax, I fucking love The Reebok.

Barnsley looked doomed now, only hope is that they look to have slightly easier fixtures than Reading and have a game in hand away at Forest which is winnable.

Things can change quickly though, surprise win on Saturday would put pressure on 3 clubs above with Barnsley kicking off earlier.

They have to play Bolton and also have a game in hand on them.

That's they're only hope really, need to win both but probably won't.

They need McBurnie to keep firing.

All change again today, Blues against Burton was borderline ridiculous, so many chances post-bar-goal line clearances-baffling disallowed goals in the end settling for a late equaliser to save a point!!! crazy.

Important thing being it was another positive performance, keeps the 4 game unbeaten run going, 10 points from 12, I’d have settled for that 3 weeks ago.

Barnsley win has put them right back in the mixer, and their seemingly endless stream of goals should be a worry to all of us other clubs. Massive wins for Hull & Reading, gives them breathing space and possibly has left it from Blues downward. Bolton the big losers this week.

No doubt plenty more twists to come, we’ve got some horrible fixtures coming up.

I just looked at a league table from the date you posted that, and I'd forgotten or didn't notice that they were that far adrift, must have been on a terrible run to get in that position.

Still, they've been in this situation countless times before and more often than not got out of it, so they certainly can't be written off, and that would be the case even if they hadn't got that massive win today.

Please don't tell me you scored at the end, I was waiting for Birmingham to win my bet

I never bet against Burton, or Walsall. They have let me down a few times in the past.

Birmingham still got to play wolves and Fulham and if we don't lose to millwall a huge game against us too, think this will go to the wire like the playoff race, massive game at oakwell on Saturday too.

For us we’ve got Wolves & Fulham, the current top two in the league and the current top two in the form table, Sheff Utd who’re still pushing hard for the play offs and QPR who have suddenly started scoring goals for fun especially at LR.

Blues are bang in trouble, make no mistake, don’t see us winning another game and picking up any points at all is a tall order, we’re going to be relying on everybody below us being relentlessly shit...:err:

Big game on Saturday for us against Sunderland (H) - a win might be enough to keep us up.

We haven’t got an ideal set of fixtures but I reckon we’ll beat Sheffield United at St Andrew’s. 4 points from the last 4 could be enough. Will be glad when this season’s finished, either way.

Blues being Blues will stay up. Sheffield united at home, and QPR away will be the games I'd be looking at. Also, don't bet against them ruining wolves promotion party at the weekend. If they need a point at home to Fulham, then a full St Andrews won't be a nice place for Fulham to go to.

IIRC Fulham was our final home game the last time we were relegated, we went into the game knowing we HAD to win, we completely melted, lost the game 2-0 and we’re relegated the following week

Our last 4 games are Birmingham (h), Bolton (a), Sheffield Wednesday (h) and Sunderland (a)... could have a big say on who stays up or goes down.
