Ipswich and Reading look bad, Hull also are in dire straits. Quite like how Rotherham have thrown a spanner in the works by actually looking relatively handy (at home at least)

Wouldn’t be surprised if we’re in here by the beginning of the next international break. Three without a win, lost five of our six away games so far, scored only four goals in our last eight games and our next round of matches are as follows..

West Brom (H) 2nd
Millwall (A) Never win in London
Sheff Utd (A) 1st
Leeds (H) 3rd
Boro (A) 4th

More than realistic that we lose every single one of those. Then again, I said that about August and they proved me wrong so we’ll see..

I think we'll be similar to last season, if Forestieri and Matias come back and can stay fit we'll be upper end of mid table with a lot of high scoring games, if not we lack the creativity and will probably be around 15th again.

You don't even play 1FF when he's fit anyway.

Another Ipswich loss :woo:

Ooookkkkaayyyy... we’ve never had so much interest in us from outside of east anglia!

Frankly, I’ve accepted relegation and I don’t regret my view of McCarthy. We were stale and needed to take a risk otherwise the club would become distant from its supporters further. Evans failed in his process to appoint a new manager and subsequently all his failings since buying the club a decade ago have led to where we are today

Because there are very few, if any managers out there that Ipswich Town could attract that could do the job that McCarthy was doing year upon year for you. I’ll stop laughing at your demise when your fans stop being stubborn morons and admit they couldn’t see what the rest of us could.

I can understand why Ipswich fans wanted rid of MM. When he's your manager his football is shit to watch, he turns fans against each other, he refuses to change his team even when it's glaringly obvious it doesn't work.. oh, and he'll refuse to play your best player because he stood up to McCarthy in training... We had it all before at Wolves and rejoiced when he left even when we stared relegation in the face.

What I don't understand is why they replaced him with a manager who has thrown his budget (which was a decent size compared to what previous managers have had to spend at Ipswich) at dross from the likes of Accrington and Shrewsbury. Players who with the excepion of Jon Nolan, weren't even regulars in L1 or L2 sides. Shame Derby snatched Lampard on the 11th hour as with a compentant manager Ipswich could have had a half decent season. Instead this L1 manager will probably take them down.

Ipswich looked beaten before a ball was kicked last night. I like Hurst but he's got a job on his hands there.

I fancied Ipswich to struggle as soon as I saw Paul Hurst do a Graham Westley in the summer and sign an absolute shitload of lower league players. 3 or 4 are fine as long as you can bed them in, but Hurst seemed to sign 7 or 8 and throw all of them into the first eleven at the first time of asking.

Still, they're 4pts from safety, absolutely stupid to resign them to relegation after 14 games.

We’ve got Rotherham at home on Saturday and Ipswich away next week. More confident about the Ipswich game than the Rotherham one but if we can somehow win both then I’m officially withdrawing from this thread.

And I’m afraid we can’t do our regular routine of reviving a struggling team’s season as we don’t visit Ipswich until mid December. Hurst will probably be gone by then anyway.

At least his Accrington and Shrewsbury recruits will remain.

He normally plays but he was benched as we were winning games without him earlier in the season.

He's not started any of your 5 wins which is quite surprising. The 5 games he's started you've drawn 3 and lost 2.

Doomed from the start after signing shite.

Not just that, offloading our best players and youngsters on loan. Come in and given the big’un (impressive considering his size!).

Time to move on and forget. No point looking back

I saw he dropped Bialkowski at the start of the season too. He's one of the best goalkeepers in the league... What was Hurst thinking?

I actually initially backed that decision. He was at fault for a lot of the goals at the start of the season, was pretty questionable for the first Leeds goal last night after his first start for a long while as well!

Thought the decision was bold but sounds like he went about it the wrong way.

Bialkowski has to be one of the most overrated goalkeepers in the history of football. Makes some spectacular saves but makes so many howlers. Absolute bomb scare.
