R-Truth is always a weird one. Had most of his time in WWE as a pointless addition to the roster who was more annoying than anything... but this one short 6 month spell or whatever where he was THE VERY BEST THING in all of pro wrestling.

How they can take a persona and character that can be that much fun and then just revert the guy back to being a pointless shit character is probably one of the biggest mysteries I've ever seen with WWE.

totally agree. even in very early 2003 as 'The Truth' Ron Killings, he was pretty awesome as a straight talking bad ass heel. Then in WWE they turned him into 'stereotypical black rapper guy' for a few years, before he owned it in 2011 as the psychotic talking to himself R'Truth. The actual turn of Truth on John Morrison was supposed to elevate Morrison, but in fact it elevated Truth instead and really killed off any steam Morrison might have had. If it wasn't for Punk's Pipebomb, that may have turned out to be Truth's year. But for some unknown reason, they turned him face and had him revert back to stereotype black rapper R'Truth.

I loved Truth's heel run a few years back much better than anything Del Rio ever did but they just dropped him into jobberville.

I just found out the other month R Truth was K-Kwik.
I basically just remember him lasting a short time in the 2001 rumble :dk:

R-Truth was pretty funny in this weeks Smackdown. Ryback seems pretty over too. Pinning Rollins.

The best content this company produces is never broadcast on the shows where it matters. That is better than anything I witnessed on Raw this week.

Agreed, I didn't even know this existed.

Would give the characters so much more depth and actually get fans emotionally involved.

It just confirms they could do it if they wanted, the problem is they don't. They see Raw and Smackdown as variety shows where they need to do comedy and skits.

Rumours are RAMPANT (well not rampant but kind of just out there) that Alundra Blaze aka Madusa aka lady who put the WWF Womans Title in the bin on WCW is going in the WWE Hall of Fame this year.

For me, this is well deserved. Some of the matches she had with Bull Nakano in 94 were (and still are) the best womens matches i've ever seen

This has been a great Raw so far, purely for the promos.

Curtis Axel was so fucking good :fl:

best raw i've seen for a while.

the stephanie promo was bloody brilliant. the only downside was treating axel a tad bit too much like a joke in the ring. A competitive 5 minute match would have been better for cena & axel, but can't fault cena's promo. he did what he had to do and did sound a bit douchey letting on that he should be entitled to a mania match.

the heyman promo was a bit too rambly for me. i do enjoy a good heyman shoot but i don't know what he's trying to get over here. he's trying TOO hard to put over reigns, without burying his own guy Lesnar in the process. i smell a reigns / heyman allignment after mania.

someone hire jon stewart. guy cut an awesome promo on seth rollins. should have him appear more on raw if he's between jobs at the minute.

they also gave the women more time for their divas match, match was pretty good too. reckon we'll get paige & aj v the bellas at mania?

It seems that they are putting a lot of time into the Ladder match at Mania, This match really has my interest. it was the best Raw for a while.
So 'Mania we are looking at
Triple H v Sting
Brock v Roman
6 man Ladder match (truth, ambrose, barrett, ziggler,Bryan and Harper)
Andre Battle Royal
Bray v 'Taker
Pretty much all confirmed.
Bellas v AJ and Paige
Kidd&Cesaro vs Usos (again)
Miz v Mizdow
Seth v Orton
Are also maybes, They really need Mizdow to turn on the Miz soon, if they are going to have a match at Mania, Or will it be played out till after 'Mania maybe in the Battle Royal.

Not a big fan of promo-filled Raws and stuff but last night was brilliant in terms of build towards Mania. Still a few weeks out and the card seems all but set in theory, which really allows them to build the hype. Rollins is superb, the 6 man ladder match could be really really good, Reigns has quietly had a couple of strong weeks now. They're in a position now whereby they have too many feuds and can pick and choose a bit when it comes to the Mania card, which is great when you consider the amount of weird filler segments and odd matches with no build sandwiched into the 4 hour bonanzas in recent years.

Not sure what they're doing with Cena now then? Battle Royal and a match with Rusev?

It's a shame they'll give Axel a comedy spot though, he'll probably get eliminated really quickly because he's ran with this Hogan gimmick and proved he's far better than given credit for.

I love the prospect of this Intercontinental match. I completely forgot about Harper when considering a card. If you're looking for a big-ish guy to be good on ladders, he's your man. Very agile. Be interesting to see who picks up the belt. Can't see it being Truth, Harper or Bryan. Barrett, Ziggler and Ambrose have to be the favourites. I'd kind of love Ziggler to have a mega WM moment.

Also, this is the sort of prestige they need to give the IC belt. I hope it continues beyond WM as the likes of Bryan, Ziggler, Ambrose and Barrett fighting for it makes it look strong.

Yeah first RAW I've enjoyed in a while, lots of story progression and some great promos and skits.

i like the direction they are going with the IC title, some big names involved gives it some meaning and having so many in one match can open up for some fueds after Wrestlemania.

Also, seems like WWE is slowly getting a bit more edgy. Cena calling Steph a bitch, the whole Mizdow/Miz erection angle. I like it. Oh, and Rusev is getting quite good drawing heat on the mic.

Rusev has been nothing short of phenomenal in this fued. Usually people will bend over backwards to face Cena and look really happy about it. Rusev has done a great job of making Cena look obsolete. The confusing thing for me is that Steph said Cena couldn't get the US Title off of Rusev so the authority were going to try and find someone else to do that for them.... Rusev was in the authority not long ago wasn't he? there was no fall out or backlash he was a solid member why all of a sudden do the Authority need to get the belt off him? First US Champion I've cared about in a long while.

i don't think they probably meant anything personally towards Rusev, I think they were just talking about a new Number 1 Contender for the belt.

I'm seeing a bit more build up for the secondary titles. This is exactly what the WWE needs. You can have your big belt defended every now and again, but your secondary titles have been pretty weak while Lesnar has been champ. Having Cena and Bryan as your US & IC Champion going out of Mania will really elevate the belts. But they NEED to avoid these stupid 'IC Champion losing non title matches' troupe they've got.

My hope is for a Brie/Nikki/Paige/AJ fatal four way. Though could actually be pretty good, I reckon. NXT did prove that fatal fourway womens matches can be great...

Miz is already in the battle royal, so it'll play out in that match... Mizdow will eliminate him, and is probably my pick to win it right now...

Agreed. Miz and Mizdow belongs in the battle royal. The whole couple of seconds of that stare down between Miz & Mizdow on Raw was brilliant. I think they picked the best crowd to do that in front of. Do that in front of a kiddy pro-cena crowd and there's no reaction. Do it in front of a smarky New Jersey crowd and you get the whole 'ooooooo's' and cheers for Mizdow.

Thought that was a very strong episode of Raw, it's finally got things really going heading into WM. They've finally got all of the "will they won't they" shit out of the way with Rusev/Cena, Rollins/Orton, Wyatt/Taker even though we all knew that there was never any "won't they" as an option. Seemed to have a lot more focus on it now than previous episodes.

This being said, I'm gutted they're going with a tag team divas match... could have been a great fatal four way. And the tag titles match would have been better as just Cesaro/Kidd vs The Usos, surely...
