Do you remember the cartoon where pepe- le pew on his way to romancing always managed to walk under a painters ladder and get a white stripe on his back? That's what that strip reminds me off
It was the female cat who walks under the paint ladder...

And she was black, not blue

I stand corrected! Transfer black for blue, and a cat and a painters ladder for a limbo dancing footballer and a freshly painted limbo pole and I think you will find my point is still valid !

Well, if we don't have some kind of stripe on our top, we end up looking like Portsmouth

I've always liked the one big stripe down the middle that you have, you sort of own that, not like us with our boring stripes, we have actually spent most of our history in a nice medium dark blue, I think most of our fans are fed up of stripes

Have we no news today on the Sextrillionairre (that is the next step up the ladder, not some clue that the richman is Hugh Hefner!)

If it was within 4-5 daays about 4-5 days ago should we not be speaking to them this week, probably in a £50 million Yaught which is parked at Monaco Grand Prix

There was a statement today to inform us that they can't inform us.

Will be little consolation if the club is fucked anyway, but at least it eases fears that he's engineering this for this own benefit. So hopefully the managing director who has already been offered the job can take it up... that is if they haven't gotten sick of the tinpottedness of it all and fucked us off.

I wonder if the septillionaire is even still in the picture... hasn't been mentioned at all in a couple of days now.

Why hasn't he gone now then to just let the new MD in.

have they actually indicated when they are meeting this Septillionairre then? Has he made a mistake of wanting a Carlisle side in the US and ended up in the UK by accident.

I mean we need to know by Monday or we run out of ridiculous levels on the money scale and suddenly will have to drop to a pathetic billion again!

John Nixon will step down about the same time as Blatter. He's dug in like a tick. It will take a fatal disease to shift him.

This forum is just us, Mansfield, Cambridge and Hartlepool discussing relegation. They're used to be a few Tranmere and Bury to, but they've gone. There are three Daggers, most of the rest are just one or two of any at all.

Rivalry is one thing, but when one of our clubs looks like being sold down the river we have to bring it out publicly , it's a pity these places weren't up and running when the FL tried to ruin Luton, we may not have changed anything but ay least Luton fans would have known they weren't alone

Not sure if it's tinpot or not that Lapping, the original investor, is currently chatting with one of our old Conference defenders (now somewhat of a club hero) on our forum. His deal's dead in the water if you ask me, very bad news for us.

Speaking of ex-players.. James Pearson is hitting the headlines tomorrow. He apparently abused a Thai girl in an orgy. Wow.

The plot thickens, and I don't like this one bit.

http://www.carlisleunited.co.uk/news/article/club-statement-dated-2-june-2015-2476897.aspx

All this talk of meeting the octillionaire's 'agent' and 'associate' (not even the octillionaire's associate I think, but the agent's associate). I'm beginning to wonder if even Messrs Jenkins and Nixon know the identity of the supposed octillionaire, or if it's all just men in trench-coats meeting in underground car parks. The eagle flies over Krakow tonight. Why, when we have something like 5 people on the board of directors, including a representative of the trust, are even the other directors not being told about the investor's identity?

Why is Jenkins allowing himself to be sidetracked like this? He has a track record over the last sixty (yes sixty) years of being on the board of being a safe pair of hands, sometimes to a fault in not being forward-thinking enough, but running a steady ship and not allowing the club to become unsustainable. Why is he now, getting involved in all this charade, as being the chairman and largest shareholder surely means that without his support, and that of the other directors, none of this happens? Without him is would just be Nixon who is no longer the MD, and is just a 10% shareholder.

Even if the offer was too good to ignore, why did we have to completely fuck Lapping off to 'give it consideration' (which at the moment is all we're doing)? We should have said to this 'investor' that we're happy to hear what he wants to propose but we're currently in the advanced stages of talks with a group of investors and weren't prepared to forfeit that just to hear what he has to say unless he was willing to offer guarantees. So he can either set out his plan quickly and openly so that a decision can be made, or better still, he can approach Lapping to see if he can be incorporated into Lapping's plans, which is preferable since Lapping has more long-term plans and the fans on his side.

And on a completely different note... why is the Football League's AGM being held in Portugal... what is the point in that?
