Have I just read correctly that Wigan average 9,000 in a title winning season? A massive 87 more than Millwall.

Comedy club, MK had more last year.

Still bigger than Rotherham though!

Wigan are bigger than Burton, and Rotherham. And that's about it for clubs who will probably be at this level next season.

9k is good considering we had 2 relegations in 3 seasons along with 1300 average away following...

Like we have been for the last 2 seasons then? I never mentioned attendances as it bores me but 9K at the top of a division is pretty poor WTGR. By the way, 15,000 - 9,000=6,000, not 2k plus we are sold out in the home stands for virtually every game.
Wigan are not a big club but neither are we. I CAN remember Wigan coming into the league though and visited Springfield park. Without Whelan (he broke his leg, don't you know) I don't think you would have been anywhere near as high as you managed. Maybe you've returned to a more natural position?
I have nothing against wigan at all but a big club they most certainly are not.

It's pathetic.

We averaged nearly 18,000 in our first season in league one after 2 relegations in 3 years, no FA cup and no European football.

Weren't top of the league either.

To be fair to Wigan there are a lot more clubs to choose from in the area than Bristol.
9000 at home is extremely poor though for a team that were in the Premier League for a decent stretch, and I'm sure the only reason their away attendance is so big this season is because most of the away games are at new grounds

Sorry, but we're a bigger club than Reading. Five more years in the top flight and an FA Cup to boot.

Do any moderators actually do anything on here? Ban this mudhuts bellend, I'm sick of him embarrassing my team.
your a wum seen that name floating about before...not even a wigan fan...nice try

That's right because as I have already said, there are season ticket boycotts yet we'll still probably be averaging what you are.

I'll ignore the last bit coming from a Wigan fan. I've already bitten enough as have far too many others.

There aren't any grounds to ban him, I can't justify binning him off because of his opinion. After all, that's what makes discussion on a forum.

Apart from the fact he just labelled you a 'c***', which I've removed from his post, and trust won't happen again wiganmudhuts28?

Don't worry pal, I've been called worse.

Looking forward to Bristol City away next season. I've been Rovers before but never City. New ground to tick off the list.

No matter what points system you use, at the end of the day no one has a fucking clue how big each club in the division is. End of.

Five years more in the top flight and you still never got a top half finish.

We're a small club at this level, but we're still bigger than Wigan.

The FA Cup is the only thing making you bigger than Rotherham too IMO.

Im also looking forward to Wigan away, I don't believe we've played at the DW so we should have a decent following there and it'll be a good day.

Anyway, I can assure you you'll much prefer AG to that shitshack of a ground down the road, don't let it tarnish your image of Bristol!

Tough guy behind a keyboard with no name aren't you? Come to the promenade on Saturday and I'll volley you in the fu**ing sea. Do everyone on here a favour. Although you've probably not got a ticket, you don't seem like the sharpest tool in the box.
you would need a tool to deal with me sunshine...keep it shut
