Their goes all new found confidence. Genuine hatred for him on our forum after their were rumours that he refused to play on Saturday to force the move through.

He's not gone about it the best way (even if the rumours aren't true). But it's a full time 2 and a half year contract - who here wouldn't make the same choice he has?

They have all taken it well then!!

He has dealt with it like a helmet really. Didn't play Saturday, skulked around the private fans' group on Facebook for a few months. He took ages to get firing, went on one good run and wanted out, leaving us without someone who's bagged half our goals in the past dozen games. The reception on that group towards Tuton has been very strange over time though.

August–November: nt sure abt dis Tuton lad, need 2 gt is act 2geva
December–January: I LOVE YOU @Shaun Toots Tuton OMGLOL
February: fuk of hope he get's crocked at bramsley the basted

God forbid any of them get girlfriends.

Feel gutted for Wrexham fans with this. Comes at a time where it's too late to even attempt to replace him. I have a bad feeling Wrexham will be down here for many more years which is a shame.

Just like when Moult left for Motherwell in the summer its the unfortunate reality of the situation whilst we are a conference club. You cant begrudge players wanting to play at higher levels. Vose was great at the start of the season, when things have been tough in the last coupe of months hes been much less effective. Has the ability he just needs to work on is attitude a bit. Gutted, but wish him well.

Shit timing though, thanks Scunthorpe. Dicks.

Seems we signed Boreham Wood winger Anthony Jeffrey, 21, before the deadline last night and he will be loaned back to them for the time being. Can't remember him making a big impact against us when we played them in December, but guess we'll see.

Thats a slightly twisted view, Macreth Brown and Venney were not even in matchday squads so saying we have less players is whilst true, twisted just a little.
However i agree we are definately light on numbers and could do with some more.
Yes Mackreth and Brown weren't starting, however I can certainly see what Lew is getting at here. In terms of the budget (I'd imagine so anyway), they were first teamers. Letting Mackreth go and not bringing anyone in to replace him seems crazy to me. Hopefully, we'll be using the loan market when it opens up again. Brown has been replaced by Nolan/Henderson, however whether those additions are substantial upgrades remains to be seen. I realise it's difficult to get players in and that Hurst wants the right characters to come in, but I also feel like it was a disappointing window. Especially when you see the likes of Holman, Williams and Mohammed all going to other clubs around us in the table.

So we've now got Clovis Kamdjo, DSY and now Jeffrey all on loan there. Are they becoming our feeder club or something?

As long as there are village teams with megalomaniac millionaires at the helm, we'll be stuck down here with all the other teams being run to a sustainable budget. And Grimsby.

Apparently Match of the Day Kickabout were following us on deadline day. That means BBC 2 viewers can watch behind the scenes footage of us signing a Boreham Wood winger right before the deadline next Saturday morning. Exciting stuff.

Nah, Moult was a big loss to us, but I don't think Vose will be. Sure, he's a matchwinner, but we need to be winning more games than the ones when Dom Vose feels like turning up. Put the money in the bank, see who Torquay have recently offloaded...

Not sure I could think of anything more cringy than the BBC showing how the modern day fairytale that is FGR operate on such a shoestring. It was bad enough hearing them waffle shite about Eastleigh last week.

Something happened with Mills there which is pretty obvious.

It's sad to see him leave, as mentioned above it is just where we are right now. Season already was a right off anyway barring a run of 2012/13 Mansfield/Kiddy proportions (was it that long ago!? :err:)

See you all in August. We go again.

Very interesting. Grimsby obviously had intentions of Going For It™.

Based on 'football decisions' we've sold him, makes loads of sense considering he was the best footballer we had. One of the most talented players we've had in this league but clearly Mills has fallen out with him.

We had him on trial about 4 years ago, but he opted to go to Peterborough and helped dump us about the FA Cup. Seems to have dropped down the leagues since, but could prove a decent signing at this level.

For us it's a sad case when a striker can have a good quarter of a season, then kick up a fuss and chuff off to a higher league outfit. And it's a shame with Wrectum too as I'd regard them as at least Scunthorpe's size, so they too must be feeling a bit powerless if a good player can force their hand just because they're not going for promotion this season.

Scunthorpe just seem to go for our targets as a matter of principle so I think we're partly to blame for this, sorry Wrexham.

Anyone else confused about the "in action against Grimsby on Tuesday" caption under the picture in that article?

This seems to be the attitude of a lot of Wrexham fans at the moment. Is that how others see it too? I'm looking at a team six points off two of the play-off places with sixteen games to go and thinking it's still all to play for. We've been on a terrible run, yeah, but we're not completely devoid of what's needed to turn that around. Or do I need to lay off the meths for a few days?

I remember going to Glanford Park the first game of 02/03 season, our first after being relegated to "Soccer 2" or whatever the Fourth Division was called in those days. I thought it all terribly quaint and tinpot. You don't know you're born sometimes, do you?
