2-0 up. Good stuff from us so far. We finish every chance at home and absolutely nothing away. Baffling. Soft Southerers, I guess.

1-0 down but frustrating, didn’t get out their half before the goal. Then we had a wobble and got back into it. Stone wall penalty not given. Wasn’t even a debatable one!

Play the ball on the deck we look the better team but need to defend better.

Definitely penalty. I'm aghast as to how the referee is going to explain why it wasn't!

When we got the ball down we started to threaten in the last 10 minutes.

Cleaned him out. It’s here for the taking if we can get it down and play. They’ve got that one ball which we know we are shit against defensively.

Sounds like we’re being totally dominated by Orient, poor defending, Spearing as a one man midfield being swamped and wing-backs unable to go forward. Taking off one of our better attacking players in Josh Hawkes is a puzzle.

POLITIC, what a turnaround. Just devastating when coming off the bench.

Giving Tranmere a good bumming, here. No lube. Don’t think Mellon will be using 3-5-2 again any time soon.

Piss poor refereeing. Homer ref trying to gift Cambridge the win. Appalling.

Get in there, into the third round. Fantastic effort.

Hopefully can get a payday against a big premier league team or failing that the shit.

Would quite like to see what happened there. I hope he wasn't intimidated by the massive home crowd.

Oh well, just take it out on Northampton. Hope Nombe is OK.

Good win that, sounded deserved from the comms on Radio Lincolnshire.

Hope we don't get shafted with something woefully shite like Oxford away that we got a couple of years ago. Still fuming.

Good result for us, despite Ipswich's home problems. With a few non-leaguers knocked out there's a decent chance we may get on TV for the replay and a bit of additional income. All depends on whether there is a big tie riding on it.

Matched what I assume is a strong Ipswich side - both teams going for the win. We finally look fairly solid, but still don't look much like scoring.

Depressing result for Rovers, some might say season-ending given the rumours circulating that only a Cup run would allow us to strengthen in the January window. Some hard to fathom substitutions too from Micky. Sounded like Orient were comfortable winners. Can we bounce back at Coldham on Tuesday? No idea...

Rumours are nothing but things people think might be facts with no basis in reality other than their imagination, or somebody elses.

It was a crap performance based on the messages from people who were there.
It looks like the honeymoon for Micky Mellons 2nd marriage at TRFC is a very short one.

Massive win against one of our bogey teams. I'm more happy today than I was when we took Man U to a replay back in 2015 :shifty:

I think I'll wait for the match highlights before I comment on the 'was it offside or not' goal.

Count me in on that, think I'd want them at their place too.

Just unfortunate today has come at a cost with losing Amoo to a hamstring injury. Really a case of last man standing for us in attack now.

Another very dominant home performance from ourselves, deserved winners by a long way. As E10rifle says, we're burying chances at home but not away from home.

Was expecting alot better from Tranmere, but they barely laid a glove on us and kept trying to chip balls over our backline to very little effect. Spearing lost his head a bit before half time and got taken off.

Would take West Brom, Derby or Wimbledon away as I need all 3 for the 92.

That’s got to be the best half by both the players and fans in years, bloody brilliant.

Honestly can hardly speak.

Superb performance and great scenes in the away end. Dennis the Menace is so lethal off the bench.

Felt hard done to being 1 down at half time, we were dominant until they scored against the run of play and we wobbled for ten minutes but aside from that felt we were much the better team. No idea how we didn’t get a penalty but doesn’t matter in the end.

Second half I was worried about the wind and getting penned in but Burton were really poor, you’d have thought they’d got no fit strikers not us. Felt like missed chances again but Politic finished a great move and at that point there was only going to be one winner, need to see the second goal again to see how tight it was angle wise but similar goal to the one he got against Barrow.

Burton huffed and puffed but other than booting our keeper in the face didn’t really feel they had the quality to get back on it.

Deserved our place in round three, to beat two league one sides, one 5-1 and another away from home we’ve done well.

Smith was superb today, their number 21 was bullied to bits and will be having nightmares about Smudge! spent most of the second half being booted into the hoardings!

Gibbons was a decent outlet. Rodney was poor again. Worryingly both our last attacking options for strikers limped off, looks like Amoo will be out so might have to stick the keeper Covolan up front! Ridiculous situation and just bad luck really.

Hopefully we can get a big club put the hat or if not someone like Stoke would do.

Deservedly knocked out today. Took the lead on 51 minutes. Within 5 minutes we’d given away a soft (but definite) penalty. And a couple of minutes later Rovers were 2-1 up. Didn’t have any chances to equalise.

We should be parachuted into L1. We'd piss that tinpot league by the middle of March.
