Get the fuck in! Great result, and a very good performance, totally deserved. Fought for every first and second ball. Into the next round. The mags or boro away PLEASE.

We were excellent, real good away day, would love any of the 'big two' fuck Sunderland but at home for me.

Doncaster are not very good but we ripped them apart in the second, disappointed we didn’t get one or two more.

We should be parachuted into L1. We'd piss that tinpot league by the middle of March.

Aye co-sign that for us too. Be a great little promotion tour.

Great to have the excitement of waiting for the draw on Monday now. Am already conditioning myself to getting the winner of this Yeovil v Stevenage tie currently on the TV away though.

Predictably shite by us. Quite a bit of possession and passing it around but posed no threat whatsoever. Surprised to see we've been credited with five shots on target, I can only remember two. One by Mampala which was an easy catch for the goalie and then Gibson's goal.

I’d love us to take big numbers away to the toon or boro, great away day, close by and plenty of numbers on the drink, first weekend in January.

hahahah

get the fuck in.

That’s got to be the best half by both the players and fans in years, bloody brilliant.

Honestly can hardly speak.

that 3rd goal!

Before they got their second we should have been atleast 4-1 up. Great moment with fans and management after game, fans have been so good this season.

Well done to Hartlepool. Another day, another blank for us. We've got more injuries than goals this season I think.

Been a hell of an (understandable) turnaround from last season where a draw with a L2 side would result in us scoring 3 or 4+ goals.

Looks like a lot of work for Tisdale to do at Stevenage based on that game with Yeovil.

Fantastic win! We now only have one fit striker who is really a wide forward and that's including the youth team! But we keep on pulling out results.

Thought Burton were pretty poor if I'm honest and it's embarrassing really that we contributed to almost half their gate. Nice little club but shouldn't be above us in the pyramid. Unfortunately that's where we find ourselves.

Great support and we deserved to go through.

Fair play vale. Well done and congrats on your win.
We played garbage today and I can’t understand why as we have a good squad that 4 times out of 5, we would win, but it’s the cup and you played well and we were so jittery it’s untrue. We have some good firepower yet looked powderpuff.
let’s hope you get a decent draw to reward you for your efforts.

Good stuff from the League 2 sides today. Vale, Stags, Barrow, Orient, Pools, Harrogate and Swindon all into the hat for the third round, hoping for a plum draw at MASSIVE clubs like Man U, Liverpool and Bristol Rovers.

Dale and Colchester to come tomorrow so hopefully we’ll have 10 teams in the third round. Salford can fuck off, natch.

I agree with you until the salford comment.

Though they’re home to a typical non league club it’s just no.

Though mansfield and chesterfield kicking off against each other under the radar would be great.

A strange game today I thought. We were very poor, and deservedly lost, but given the scoreline we were not exactly cut to ribbons time and again with scintillating football.

Orient had comparatively few chances but were absolutely ruthless in taking them and finishing us off. Having two natural goalscorers up front makes a huge difference at any level.

At one-nil, Maynard was actually clean through on goal, but took a poor touch and fluffed his chance.

Very depressing to make a 500 mile round trip for a game that was effectively over after thirty minutes. And it was very cold.

I mean to win at sunderland and then doncaster away both a league above is a massive effort for mansfield.

that said that performance by both the players and the fans is a remarkable effort, something which should be treasured by both

Rodney was poor again.
I know massive contributions to each of our goals doesn't mean he played well the whole game, but it's a bit harsh to have that as the only thing you say about him today.

Great ball for the second to be fair but he’s just massively frustrating me at the moment, I loved him last season and thought he would be the one this season to really benefit from fans being back with his explosive pace getting us all behind him and a bit of a cult hero last season. He’s capable but doesn’t seem to be putting it in at the moment.

I cant see I’ve seen him burst away with that pace this season at all, nor use that hammer shot we saw.

I just want him to kick back into gear… and he’s our only striker left now so really need him to!

A typical yellow stain comment. See you've won a couple of games , usually when you string 2 wins together the 400 page thread on your forum about the mighty CFC gets revived. Sad scabs

At least our forum has enough about it to compile it all in one thread and not have loads of separate threads on a continuous yearly basis

The thread has been quiet over the last month or so , as it usually is when you're struggling to put a win together. If we lose today plus the fact you've managed to get a couple of results I have no doubt the yellow stain will be jerking their selves silly . Adding another 3 pages about the team non of you care about. Pretty sad, but I suppose that's Mansfailed for you.

the Mansfield v Chesterfield rivalry has to be one of my favourite tinpot rivalries. Far more entertaining than Wrexham v Chester, I'd say it's up there with Grimsby v Scunthorpe and Borehamwood v Football

It’s not comparable to most lower league rivalry’s to be honest, the amount of clubs at this level pretending to hate each other purely down to proximity :ffs: gotta be more to it.

Being called ‘Mansfailed’ by a fan supporting a non-league club that gets excited over signing Gloucestershire finest is silly though.

You being a professional league club must be pretty embarrasing . A 3 sided shed to host your non league equivalent fan base.
