SO'D has told our reporter that we haven't actually received a bid for Tom.

That's just weird, the Press Association, Sky Sports and many local papers all reported it for it to end up untrue.

Darragh MacAnthony just did one of his Twitter press conferences and apparently he has turned down several "multi-million pound" offers from clubs in the Championship

Awesome, Jeff can point any bids for Bradshaw at him then because Bradshaw's goal record is miles better.

Birmingham mail has reported that we have turned down £650k for him from an unnamed Championship club. SOD denied us even receiving it this afternoon. Agent talk trying to unsettle him probably.

Either way, you can at least double that before he's going anywhere.

George Evans close to extending his loan according to reports.

Rumour on Twitter from a portsmouth sports presenter, Jed Wallace could be joining us on loan from wolves

Signed on loan for us yesterday. Guess that means Ferguson won't be coming back.

The Twitter account who is saying this has 172 followers so if that's a reliable source, then so is Joe, as he has more followers than that (for some reason).

Bax started out very promising when Smith originally signed him and played him behind the striker. Unfortunately, we signed Sawyers who is 1 million times better in the number 10 role and Bax was forced wide. He isn't suited to play there. He's small, very weak on and off the ball and has no pace, so immediately that sent him backwards. He signed a 3 year deal and has barely kicked a ball in that time, but anytime he has - he's been hilariously bad.

He's a good ball player, capable of a fierce shot and scoring a rocket from distance, but at league one level - he's not a winger, nor anything like it, if he gets space and time in League 2, then he could come good. Playing wide though...no thanks.

We're missing a player in the no.10 role so that could be the position he'll play in.

If he's half as good as Benning, then we'll be happy.

Had a great debut today. Played just behind the striker & was very influential. Good on the ball & can pick a pass. Also took his goal very well.

He's been what we've been missing for a while now.

Yeah, as a number 10 he is a good technical little player at League 2 level. As soon as teams do any work on him though he will go missing and don't for the life of you even think about playing him wide. It's not worth the trauma. He's a great lad though, glad that he did well. He's out of contract here and he won't be getting another so he's playing for his career.

Walsall fans what do you make of James Baxendale? I see he's played 100 games for you so can't be too bad surely?

He signed for us at 1.30pm today, scored a goal and got man of the match. He was taking the piss out of the Stevenage defence in the second half. I hope he can carry on like that!

Haha doubt it and heard nothing our end although wouldn't have surprised me if he did flop at Bury that he would come 'home'. We are after a striker on loan but we wouldn't pay his wages that I'd imagine he is on to leave us for you in the first place.

Read today that he's on loan for the month with a view to him signing permanently

Well it was always going to happen after his performance on Friday. 10 goals already this season and 15 last season is a good return, plus he's missed a number of games due to Tisdale randomly dropping him and a few small injuries, too.

In my opinion, we will keep him this window and he will go in the summer. However, the club haven't divulged his contract length so if it's running out then we may cash in.

I think Nichols needs a decent partner alongside him but he can definitely make an immediate step up to L1. He's a fantastic finisher and will run all day. I'd want as close to £1M as we could get in today's ridiculous market.

Oh and that article says there rumours about Real Madrid watching him....! Ludicrous.

We've offloaded the McKay boys to Leeds, DF doesn't think they are good enough but I wish them well.
