We've signed Zoumana Bakayogo on non-contract terms until the end of the season. Was at Tranmere and Leicester previously. Happy enough with that, we've needed a LB and now we have one. If he's shit, then we've lost nothing and he'll be sent on his way. If he does reasonably well for us, hopefully we can tie him down to a deal in the summer. Obviously a risk of him doing so well, another team comes in and pinches him, but again, we won't have invested anything in him, so I won't complain. Not a bad day, got one total waste of space out on loan and brought in a LB. I'll take that.

Just hope Bakayogo stays fit, then we'll have a player. Whilst often being defensively suspect in the past, the fact he can get forward far better than Guthrie and Turton means he will be brilliant to use in any formation and also means we won't be using Brad Inman as a LWB in a 3-5-2.

Just wish Bakayogo played on the right so Davis' blue eyed boy Turton would end up benched. That'll never happen though...

I see Reece Wabara didn't fancy it at Barnsley and has signed for Wigan instead.

In fairness if he played with his legs crossed for the rest of the season he would probably still be more useful going forward than Guthrie (understandable as hes naturally a CB) and Ollie gets to the byline and lightly chips a cross into no mans land Turton.

Jason Banton a winger is on trial with us from Wycombe... Ex MK, Plymouth and Hartlepool, seems to have had big promise and lost his way abit...

In terms of strikers Page has confirmed we are looking at two but they've picked up knocks... Our forum seems to be rumouring they are Forest youngsters.
:fl:
Don't bother we can't wait to get rid,big billy bollocks attitude and nowhere near as good as he thinks he is. Ainsworth got so pissed off with him he was loaned out to Hartlepool who sent him back long before his loan was due to end  If you want a lazy winger who won't track back to help your defence and who can't run past an opponent without losing the ball then he's your man!

Stephen Hendrie on loan from West Ham to cover for Coker who's out for a month. 100 apps at 21 could be a shrewd loan. Hopefully he can defend unllike all our other defenders atm.

Signed Michael Doughty on a one month loan from QPR. Know nothing about him to be honest.

To be fair we've done very well out of this type of winger, faded reserves who are battered by their ex club.

Jennison Myrie-Williams
Ashley Vincent
Mark Marshall

All came with a meh/poor recent reputation, did well for us... And all then left and did poorly after! Possibly down to the width of Vale Park suiting them maybe.

Is he more playmaker or defensive? Seen loads of QPR fans on Twitter fuming he's been allowed out.

He's quite creative. We had him on loan when we were right down the bottom of this league and our lot just weren't on his wavelength. Seem to remember he liked a driving run forwards with the ball, but got quite easily frustrated when he didn't get the results he wanted. Think he'd do well in a good passing side.

Cheers! Hopefully replace Anton Rodgers while he's here.

Thanks Joe. He sounds a bit like Gladwin so hopefully he can do well here.

Signed on a free, scored zero goals, sold for actual money 6 months later.

I'd say we're anything but stupid!

Doughty. Bit of a fancy Dan. Good skill levels and size but over played in dangerous areas. As above he had some good spells but sulked at times.

Reece Burke is staying on loan (all but officially confirmed), turned down Cov and two Championship clubs - fantastic news, he'll be a Premier League starter in a few years

And if all else fails he can smash a few fuckers with his cue.

Think you're clutching at straws a little there. We signed him as a 4th choice striker, gave him a few chances which he didn't take then loaned him out where he did well. Now we've got a few quid for a player who wasn't involved, Williamson gets a shot at a club he's started well at, and Cambridge are happy with the deal as well. No harm done.

You should work for the Reichsministerium für Volksaufklärung und Propaganda

You signed a striker 6 months ago who has scored 0 goals. There was a big circle-wank on your forum about how pacy and strong BW is despite all the Vale fans pissing ourselves on here and finally getting rid of him. We told you he was shit and we were right. You may have gotten a fee from Cambridge but will it match wages, tax and bonuses over the last 6 months? Very clever indeed.

I'm not sure what you're not understanding. He was brought in as a 4th choice. Basically a reserve. Not a first teamer like he was with you. I'm sure Vale have taken a chance on players like that in the past and it not worked out, or are your board and manager too astute for all that? Judging by your chairmans antics on twitter, I doubt it.

End of the day, we signed him, he tried hard - but it didn't work out. We got some of our money back on him, he gets a fresh start and everyones a winner.

As for the 'circle-wank'.....must be something you're into up Burslem way
