He only signed yesterday and appears to be the only one coming out with any credit.

I suspect we're aiming to play him at lwb given we're going to stick rigidly to 5-3-2

Looks like from DC’s interview after the game will be signing a couple tomorrow. One of them at least really needs to be a forward.

Sounds like the case. Was a rumour on socials on Ched Evans but couldn’t see him being DCs cup of tea…

Nah I think that’s someone taking the piss to be honest. No idea who it is but whoever it is will be needed.

Looks like we're signing winger Jordan Garrick on loan from Swansea (Kennedy suggested post match that one will be in tomorrow), been at Plymouth and Swindon on loan recently. Thoughts Plymouth fans? And Indian Dan and Agombar stool?
I liked him. Good for his versatility and scored a couple good goals for us. Can play right or left wing back and up front. He had one of his best games for us against at Charlton home, playing left wing back, but the next week he could be starting up front.

Quite a similar player to Whittaker in terms of where he plays on the pitch. He’s relatively quick and he tries hard, I think you’ll like him.

What is interesting is that our gaffer obviously preferred the signing of Whittaker over Garrick. Otherwise surely he’d of signed for us last month.

Ellis Harrison signs from Fleetwood.

Oddly seems to have signed a new deal there in the summer according to Wiki?

At least he’ll be fit enough to go straight into the team for Bolton. Do love the quote on the announcement on the OS from DC, only he could come out with that:-

Speaking about the addition of Harrison, manager Darrell Clarke said: “I know a lot about Ellis because I made him, no disrespect to him, but Ellis would tell you that himself.”

Yeah seems an ok signing and good option, ready to go and knows the level.

Dont recall much from him on the opening day but guess Fleetwood wanted the sale for Stockton.

That is a very interesting signing, will keep an eye on him.

He’s never seemed to hit the form he had with us since leaving, but is a very solid L1 striker

Alfie Mawson signs - ex-us, Brentford, Barnsley, Swansea, Fulham CB.

He's class...if...IF...we can keep him fit.

He'd never have re-signed for us were it not for the ropey injury record, but it's a bit of a gamble.

Anyway, it's a done deal so we can only cross our fingers and hope he doesn't get broken too easily.

DC mentions he "made him" so hopefully hits the form he had under him before!

Just chuffed to actually have strikers! Should be good competition for Wilson when he is fit and allow us to manage Proctor better who obviously needs managing due to his injuries.

When DC says he made him -- I'm sure it was Darrel that got him out of the club and loaned him away to a club in the North East ( Hartlepool I think ) and also had him training with the youngsters. Good to see Ellis did buckle down after that final warning from Clarke.

We've signed forward Kyle Joseph from Swansea on a season long loan. Can't say I know much about him bar the usual Youtube clips etc. The bonus is that he doesn't need to be registered for the squad being 20 so gives us leeway if we need other positions.

I thought Loans count regardless of age? Its only your permanent U20's?

Jordon Garrick signed on a season long loan from Swansea. Sounds like he's a fairly quick and powerful attacking player, which will help. We've lacked any proper pace since we had Rogers and Johnson two seasons ago.

It looks like we're signing Martyn Waghorn back in some capacity from Coventry.

I know he never moved from the area, so makes sense in that regard, but no idea what knick he is in at the moment. He wasn't the best in his final season with us until he turned it on in the last game of the season, struggled to make an impact at Coventry, so I doubt we're signing a player that changes our life at this level.

Nevertheless, I guess his versatility is a bonus as we no doubt will need as the season progresses. Not the worst player in the world, but not the most inspired either.

I'd be very shocked if we let Evans go, knocked back a loan bid from Wigan.

As we strictly can't pay transfer fees, loan fees or agent fees then we're in a pretty small market, unfortunately.
Shouldn't fucking cheat then

That isn't due to any alleged cheating, btw. It's the business plan after coming out of administration that states we can't pay transfer fees, loan fees or agent fees.

It makes the market we can work in fairly small. Although, it's not the end of the world as we've worked in similar restrictions now for a few years and the recruitment has improved no end from the Mel Morris years.

Probably one of the only players DC has called out so publicly. I remember him saying something like if he didn’t sort his attitude out he will fizzle out into NL.

He had a poor spell at Hartlepool too if I remember but for some reason came back a different player, the rest was history so they say.

Would be interested to see how much Vale paid for him

Hope it goes horribly wrong and we are dancing on your grave come May.

Yeah it would but unfortunately as is the way with nearly all clubs nowadays any fees we agree in or out are undisclosed sums. Then again we very rarely announce contract lengths either so is in keeping.

By the sound of it he offers something different to what we have already. Think when Wilson is back fit it sounds like a partnership that could have some potential.

Ellis Harrison was a big disappointment for us. Shelled out quite a bit on him and didn't get much in return over 2 and a half seasons. Seemed fairly happy to sit on the nice contract we were paying him. Interesting that Fleetwood have moved him on so quickly!

Maybe Clarke can sort him out again.

Yean he's a very very limited forward who got lucky playing along side Taylor and Bodin at Rovers. No clue what Ipswich saw in him
