It's points that make prizes, not attendances.

A fine example being Accrington last season.

How's the points coming along?

Apparently it’s all about attendances according to some! Lol

Having big grounds and slightly higher attendances don’t mean much in this league at all.

Slightly? Lol

Adam I think your view is understandably coloured by the fact you are bank rolled (as are we and many others) by a single man, the chairman. Therefore he can make up for disappointing attendances and a lack of matchday income.

But trust me, season ticket sales, match day sales and income as well as C&B , F&B are hugely important to all clubs outside of the EPL. The further down the pyramid you go the bigger the proportion of total income they account for.

Surely you knew this already? You know the basics of football finances.

I can’t believe you didn’t quote Accrington again. The ripest of cherries to pick

Well according to this 188 page thread it is all about attendances especially away attendances haha. What’s all that about?

Can some statto at least produce a colourful bar chart or line graph?

That’s your view and it’s cool, good for you. Can’t say I really agree but we never had on this topic (thankfully!) so no need in going round in circles again.

I’m actually in awe of Notts attendances, especially the older fans who knew the good times when you big and famous etc, and still come in their droves to watch matches like Cheltenham. I doff my cap to them, I really do.

Exactly my thoughts. Any supporter who is 60+ and is still watching L1/L2 standard having no doubt become a fan as a boy gets my respect.

Must be tough for some of the old boys at Meadow Lane having seen some great players back in the day and witnessed so many season in top 2 levels and top flight football in 80s and 90s the last decade or so must be a tough watch.

Saying all that imagine supporting a club from 8 to 80 years old and never seeing PL or Championship level footy. I guess they know no better and are fully used to dross but sounds like a Prison sentence haha

That’s why lower league fans are the best

Exactly, you’ve got to admire the determination, a relic of past glories, a holed out shell, yet they still keep turning up, it’s what football is about.

Maybe they’ll be able to educate themselves on non-league soon.

Haha or they could just ask any of their Mansfield supporting friends from up the road.

Even your eldest fans will still be able to remember those non-league days with it being so recent

We’ve been over this Adam. Imagine having never had any past glories and being aged 80s and a Field MFI regular? Poor buggars lol

It’s like thinking Zizzi’s is really good Italian cuisine having never been to Italy.

And we're not ashamed of it, we're much better off than when we went down and are moving positively in the right direction.

We don't bury our head in the sands pretending to be something we aren't or where. You should try it and get real - your fans seem to be in some time-warp, maybe they still think there's the british empire :)

So you can go down and comeback stronger? So what’s all the fuss about?

Oi Swindon wait your turn haha

Or you may become a York, Stockport, Darlington, Wrexham.

Shudders. Long as one of you go instead of us, i'll be happy!

Wrexham are not comparable to the other three to be fair, they will be back soon.

Strange that 339 was announced at the ground, on our offy site and in/on our local rag?

291 stags at Charlton last night in a crowd total of 1910

Anybody would think it was a checkatrade game and not a FA cup game

Only 1100 oldham sold for Saturday at tranmere. If we dont sell out the 1500 we should be embarrassed

Disagree with that. We’ve been largely rubbish for a decade and we’ve been poor for most of this season. It’s a 100+ mile round trip too remember. 1200 sold plus tomorrow’s sales ain’t bad in my book.

I don't know how many we were given, but we've sold out our initial allocation for Stevenage on Saturday.

Assuming Stevenage give the whole stand on initial allocation it will be 1324 tickets (same as we get for our game on 6th Dec)- expect us to do the same and take a full end.

Oldham not turning up at Prenton Park is hardly a new thing.
