We've offered Bahamboula to Middlesbrough, where he has now gone on trial. Not great really.

Dont think hes Curles type of player, probably wants more grafters and work horses.
Great to watch at times but i genuinely think if they can get a fee plus add ons / clauses its the right move for him and the club.

Steven Humphrys sold to Wigan. Very good player, but injury prone. And unless Wigan play two out-and-out strikers, I'm not sure he'd be ahead of Charlie Wyke in the pecking order.

What's Adam Crookes like, Vale fans? We've just signed him.

McManaman was decent for us in the championship. Scored some good and important goals. Struggled for fitness though and seemed to be blowing after about 30 minutes and as a result didn’t play perhaps as much as he would have liked but he can beat a man with ease. Great signing for league 2 i reckon.

Ritchie Bennet has signed for Sutton. Was at Stockport last season, although he had a loan at Hartlepool in the last few months of the season.

I think if you are playing 3 centrebacks he will be very good in that league on the left side of that. DC when he came in put him in that role and he was very good there.

Probably his most questionable performances were at left back but I think some of that was in Askeys 4-3-3 it needed the fullbacks to be able to get forward and he couldn’t do that. Solid at the basics of defending at least.

Our fitness coach is a proper sergeant major type and will make him get fit. Its said he has a temper and attitude problem but i doubt Micky Mellon will put up with that. He will get leeway but not a lot. Mellon doesn't mind a bit of an attitude but it only goes so far.

It’s definitely not an attitude thing, more just that he’s had a lot of quite bad injuries that have taken there toll on his body. Just needs a bit of careful management

Looking at what he did for you last season, I am shocked and excited to see him sign for Sutton.
Said it in the non-league forum - he's better than half the strikers we saw in this division last season. I reckon he's probably taken a pay cut from his Stockport wages as he (presumably) got the rest of his contract paid up in full.

Explains the 12 month contract. Steve McNulty is still playing, he is at Witton Albion now in the Northern Premier League. Still a big lad.

Great signing for you.
After losing Armstrong & Oates, this is a kick in the tits as we expected him to pulling on a Pools shirt this season

His first season with us Cullen did well even if he only ever scored in home games. The problem with him and this goes to before he joined us is he just can’t stay fit for any length of time. He never quite suited Askeys 4-3-3 system though as needs to be up top in a two I reckon.

He’s from round that way so maybe being closer to home etc he can get firing again.

His best season in football so far was probably with us in 2016/17 when he got 15 goals.
Rated him when he was with us and expected him to kick on more than he has.
Decent addition for Sutton.

It's been terrible since the play offs, no feel good factor pushed by the club, key players leaving, not enough support for DC. I'm sure he wanted Bennett. He must be tearing his hair out.

It's sapped the energy out of everyone, the playoff final win was such a high and the club was riding a wave to now being beat to players by Sutton, I dunno if it's us offering peanuts or we just aren't prepared to spend big on players but it's a bit crushing at the minute.

I can guarantee they're working on deals but for fuck sake feed us a crumb of something.

we were like that last summer - even though we went up as champions we didn't get confirmation until late June (I think) and then a few hours after it was confirmed Bolton announced they wanted Evatt and that whole saga totally messed up our pre=season and recruitment.

Corrected for you. You’re welcome.
