Yeah, he said as much last night. We have offered him a 3 year deal. Should know one way or tother by the end of the week. Be loathe to see him go. Hope he was one of those players who couldn't stand Flitcroft.

This stuff about Dennis having bad attitude and being lazy seems a bit odd to me. When he was with us in the Conference he was one of the hardest working players in the team. I lost count of the number of goals he scored from nicking the ball off the keeper/charging down clearances. If he's list interest it's probably because of having to play in such a poor team for two years. I'd have him back here in an instant, although sadly we could never afford him.

Is this Preston any good then? And Jockney I’d be very surprised if Rose could make the step up to the Championship. He started really well this season and had 17 by Mid Feb but hasn’t scored since. He was for us until he did his ACL mid season. Hopefully he'll stay.

He had a bad injury during the season which ruled him out, but doesn't seem a re-occurring one.

He was pretty decent for Gills in our promotion battle if that helps you recall him, really tall!

From what the CUFC fans were saying he was released more due to finance and having some decent younger lads coming through.

Whereas we have been hamstrung by having a very very young backline so will add what we need there.

Legge is a quality cb for this lge, not the quickest but loves a tackle and pops up the odd goal which was handy.

Financial reasons is why we released him, he was on a decent wage here and with our board fecking up our finances we had to get rid.
Will get a good reception when he comes back with you lot.

A glowing reference from Arbury is good enough for me, no sour grapes etc, an honest appraisal and seems a good solid signing. If he was on good wedge at Cambridge makes you wonder what we have dangled seeing as only signed for 12 months.
