We've released an academy player, Joe Tomlinson, as he was deemed surplus to requirements.

A day later he was signed by Brighton.

This sums up the ineptitude and incompetence of the people who run our club.

We released a player, Connor Thompson a few years back only for him to be picked up by Blackburn. Happens sometimes, in Thompson's case their academy manager knew him from having been our academy manager previously. Brighton have a lot more resources than Yeovil and may have felt they could fashion something from a player where Yeovil couldn't.

Yep Jay Spearing has been offered a two year deal. Hasn’t accepted it yet but it’s 100% on the table.

Vale in talks with Peterborough confirmed by McAntony on Twitter but it isn’t Ricky Miller... seems to be suggestion it’s Morais.

Morais should be good at this level I think.

Miller is worth a go at this level definitely.

We are one of the club's chasing Dennis but looks like two league one teams are in for him and Chesterfield are asking for a significant fee

It wouldn’t be a transfer window if we didn’t sign at least 3 former Crewe players.

Oooh at last a transfer rumour down our place.

We are showing interest in Morgan Ferrier, a big bustling striker from Boreham Wood

Good player. Was glad he was injured for the playoff final.

Woodyard apparently linked to a number of League 1 clubs, but none have broke the release clause. Excellent player and would be a lose to us if he goes

Looks like Terry Hawkridge may be going back to Lincoln.

Would be a bit disappointed if so, I like him, but our aim for next season is going to be automatic promotion and I don’t think he quite provides enough in terms of goals and assists for a team looking at that level. Would be fine as a squad player as he has been for the second half of the season, but maybe isn’t happy with that.

Manny Oyeleke is one that's been mentioned as a possible target for us. Turned down a new contract at Aldershot when he was player of the season.
Was with us a couple of seasons ago. Started the season well but dropped off after picking up an injury and barely played after.

Wasn't really fancied by Tisdale...

Championship interest, too.

I think we're likely to be guided by whether or not he's prepared to sign a new deal. The Luton move didn't make sense at the time but he's now got to have a think whether or not he leaves Cowley to get up the leagues while he can.

Sounds like his release clause is around £250k, which is less than last season (is this season, last season yet?!) and that's the only fee we'll sell him for. That'd go some way to getting a decent striker in.

Really? I think we missed him this year - would have been suited to our midfield three and probably a better option than Whitehouse. That said, I think we will be looking at better. League 2 is about his limit and we will be looking at players that can step up to League 1, judging by recent signings.

Saw that, but after an incredible season for him personally with the awards that he's won, maybe Tisdale feels he's improved as a player and can make the step up again?

Heard more than a rumour yet? Saw a rumour piece in a local rag is all so far. As they say, it's a ill wind that blows loads of money into our chairman's pockets.

TBH, I wouldn’t recognise Preston if I bumped into him. It’s nothing short of a miracle you Staggies can.

Hussey has signed for Cheltenham
Since we announced our list of targets, one has re-signed with Macc and the other has gone to Cheltenham. Not great if we were seriously in for them. Hope we've got a few more names on our list.
