Evans went straight over to Woodyard after our game at SB with Mansfield, and you just knew he'd be after him if/when he left Mansfield.

He would have gone for him if he stayed mate, L1 football and more money.

Other than Boeteng from Exeter, Woodyard is the one who’s impressed me the most in the role he plays this season. Big loss for Lincoln?
He will be, yeah. Not as big a loss had he left when Luton were sniffing in January or last summer because we've got Bostwick and Frecklington now albeit slightly different styles of player.

I think some of our fans have got too used to what Woodyard does in the team and see it as the norm. He's a big reason our defensive record has been so good because he sniffs danger and rats around before it gets to the back four. Lower league Kante.

He'll suit Evans style of play, but not necessarily Peterborough's.

He would have gone for him if he stayed mate, L1 football and big money.
Maybe would've done, but he's always been moving further south, closer to home, after here.

Will be a big loss for us, wouldn't have minded him going anywhere in League One apart for maybe the Scunts so it's a bit annoying to think of him playing for Posh.

They will be getting a hell of a player for 200-250k and he is going to be hard to replace.

Isaiah Osbourne has turned down a contract with us. Bit of a blow, one of our best performers, presume he won't be short of offers from bigger clubs.

Jay Harris signs new 1-year deal.

Pleased with that. A real 100%-er, will do the job he'll likely be required to do.

Looks like we'll be signing Jose Baxter! There's a risk there with his recreational drugs ban, but one worth taking in my opinion. Everton have been brilliant by re-signing him, getting his career back on track while he's started a family. He's a joy to watch, and was very good in League One, so he has the potential to be dominant in League Two. Fingers crossed it all works out.

Know for a fact we’ve bid money for two strikers.. Danny Rowe is one of them. Unsure who the other is, but if it isn’t Kristian Dennis I’m unsure who it realistically would be.

Strikers that scored 18+ last season all either got promoted or play in the south, don’t normally see moves up north from them.

Think Rowe has gone on record saying if he’s not offered mega bucks, he’s not interested in leaving Fylde.

In addition to Jose Baxter, we’re also trying to sign Kristian Dennis from Chesterfield. Facing competition from Notts County and Port Vale though.

Really? Completely different types of player.
Oh, i'm not saying they're similar types of player. Just that they both score goals, which is what we need after losing Cook.

Do you think we'll play a different way now mate?
The whole system was built around him doing the donkey work and getting the ball in and around Rheady.
Get the feeling this gives us the change things and become a mobile side.

Not a signing as such, but Neil McDonald has joined as Assistant to the Tanned One.

Anyone who knows anything about football, will Mansfield have to compensate us as we offered a new contract to Matt Preston and he is under 24?

Depends if he left on a free or we paid a small fee? if the latter, then no

If you offered him a contract of equal or better value to his last one then yes, but it will be based on a tribunal so it'll be peanuts unfortunately

I suspect this may be the case. Are we talking 5k or 50k peanuts?

Perhaps the two clubs agreed a small fee. Knowing Lee Power he would be trying to get the most cash out of it as he could.

Jose Baxter signs for Latics on a 1yr deal with the option for a 2nd year.

Very happy with that. Should do very well in this league.

Oh cool, he looks a jolly soul, has he got any cash behind him? (can't really mock as we have Del Boy running our club!)

Goodbye Alex, blow to lose him but if we had sold him last summer or in Jan to Luton it would've been a massive blow, we have a good bit of time and money to replace him. In my eyes he's second to Peter Gain in my favourite and best central midfielder for the Imps in their respective roles. Shame to lose him to the Posh especially with Evans and MacAnthony (eurgh). For Alex, I'm sure there was a gentleman's agreement in Jan for him to give us the season to see if we can get promoted. Like his performances don't have a bad word to say about him.

We’ve signed 18 year old midfielder Tom Crawford from Chester for an undisclosed fee. Highly rated, apparently a decent breakthrough second half of the season, just called up to England C. No complaints here!
