Looks like Andy Kellett is one of the players signing for us tomorrow - not sure why we’re going after Chesterfield’s entire relegation team!
Class player- watched him quite a few times last season. Would of loved him at Macc. Was rumoured to be on £3k a week at Wigan.

Paul Farman is wanted by Stevenage and another L2 side. Ollie Palmer is attracting a fair bit of interest, as is Elliott Whitehouse, who's out of contract.

Farman needs to leave, really. I'd be content if Palmer and Whitehouse stayed but if we can get the numbers we need in quite early, I can see them both leaving.

Didn't look close to be FL level here last season. I thought he'd step up ok, but really struggled. That said, he had the odd injury, which seemed to set him back.
Agree with all of that Luke.
If you can keep Ginnelly there's clearly a good player in there.
As Farman, Palmer and Whitehouse all squad players really, kinda shows how far we've come in such a short space of time.
We're looking for players who can play in league one and I'm not sure any of these can.

Most of our signings last season were widely considered good enough for League one by the clubs they left.

Have to cringe at how salty our fans are being over the Winchester to FGR deal on Twitter. He's getting quite a lot more money to do the same job, any sane person would do as he's doing. Seen a lot of comments along the lines of 'he was rubbish second half of the season anyway'...absolute bollocks, he was second only to Eisa for player of the season and is a fantastic signing for FGR.
To be honest your fans are well known as being absolute bell ends on Twitter for spouting complete and utter shite.

I liked the look of him too from the bits i saw last season. Would fill Danny Whiteheads spot nicely!!

We appear to have signed Kristian Dennis, according to the local press at Chesterfield. Learned our lesson from January and getting things sorted nice and early!

You're sounding a bit salty there too though. Why not just thank him and wish him all the best? He did very well for you.

I've wished him well elsewhere, except in our games against you. I also don't blame him for going. I don't blame any lower league player for chasing the coin, it's a short career.

To say that he did very well for us is a bit ott though - he helped us finish 22nd and 17th in League 2. Even David Bird did better for us and I doubt very few people on here have ever even heard of him.

He's a two-time, back to back, Cheltenham Town player of the year, from when we were in League 1 as well.

Centre-mid who came through our youth team (made his debut at right-back). Very underrated player was Birdy. You could argue that he flew under the radar :db:

He is also our record Football League appearance holder.

Why? You're in league 2.

You got thumped by Exeter in the play-offs remember. That means you aren't going up to league 1. Typical plastics not knowing how football works. :ffs:

Don’t you know that they’re going up next season playing Cowley’s reinvented brand of total football?

to have league one players you have to spend a lot of money surely. Why else would a league one capable player drop down?

Great player. The best striker I've ever seen at Macc. Wish him all the best.

Really?

Can see why you'd say it, but what about Parkin, Tipton, Burr? Even Richie Barker & Jennings would run him close at least for me.

So apparently Notts will be announcing 3 players late afternoon. No idea who they are, suspect one is Krystian Dennis but would have thought Chesterfield would have announced a bid had been accepted by now?

I imagine that Kristian Dennis and Andy Kellett will be two, been reported pretty widely by reputable people now.

Some talk (albeit unsubstantiated Twitter stuff) that the third is Kane Hemmings from Oxford, scored 15 on loan at Mansfield last season.

Hemmings is not the greatest at finishing (should have scored 20+) but he’s amazing at running the line, like incredibly good for this level. I would bet Hemmings and Dennis upfront would be very, very successful.

Hemmings would be more expensive than Dennis considerably .

It would be some improvement on what we had last season for sure - lack of goals from our strikers is what cost us promotion really.

Stead is still knocking about but I wouldn’t be surprised if he finally took the MLS offer that’s been dangled to him every transfer window recently.

Dennis and Hemmings would add some pace to our frontline if the case. Suspect Hemmings is more of a wind up tho, if the rumour is originating from twitter

Fuck me, if Notts County sign Hemmings i'll chuck myself in the River Maun.

Great player in this league. Got everything you need for a striker at this level. His finishing can be a bit ropey, but he has everything else. Build up play is brilliant.

We should be signing him, he wanted to stay. Flitcroft is an idiot.

Please let it be true hemmings is going. Lovely lad and leads the line well, but can trap the ball further than I can lick it, and misses far too many chances.

I think he was, and always will be marmite amongust mansfield fans, but I’d be more than happy to see him not return

Hemmings and Dennis is a very good partnership in this league, Not quite Collins/Hylton but it’s defintely a show of intent from Notts.

I would be very, very happy if we got both Hemmings and Dennis. Hell, I’d be happy with one of them.

It's a good partnership no doubt I'm with Adam though his finishing was beyond ropey and for all the build up play in the world that's his job.

He got 15 goals but a few penalties in there so not fussed either way to be fair.

Hemmings and Rose is good a really good striking partnership for this level, staggies opinion on that is a very skewed due to our horrific form under flipflop and missing out on promotion.

Rose would have got 20+ and Hemmings would be very close if Evans never left.

Just to add, he’s not good enough to be paid 6k p/w like at Oxford though, which might be the reason why Flitcroft is not signing him (we had a fee agreed)

Id pay him £1,500 a week at most, if county have offered more if be sirprised/they’ve had their pants down.

Most fans wanted him to play more than he did. He’s a 100% er. Played out of position wide. If there’s a chance he’s on his way to you I’d expect everyone would wish him well
