Why, who else have Cambridge signed?

Elliot Omozusi, Mark Roberts, Leon Legge, Keith Keane, Barry Corr and now Luke Berry.

Seriously. Grow the f**k up man, you are calling him a c**t?!?! Any particular reason, I must had missed it.

I didn't want him to re-sign with Notts, and a 2 year deal is a year too much. But you could never fault his effort, and was played out of position... wait for it...... for 90% of the season.

I just saw his goals from last season on youtube, some quality finishing there and maybe playing with Paul Hayes again will bring the best out of him.

Some good signings there to be fair, could be dark horses.
I'm fully expecting three of them to get season ending injuries in August, Money to depart before Christmas and us to struggle on through the season and survive by less than three points.

His finishing is terrible. He's basically quite strong (as you can tell from looking at him, which doesn't help his fitness I don't think) and he strikes a ball really well as you can tell from a few of his goals but he missed so many chances last season it was genuinely laughable. He's better up-front than he is on the wing though. Based on the start of last season he's a serviceable player that would've been a decent pick-up on a one year deal for pretty much anyone in League 2 - but based on the second half of the season, anyone would have to be mental to give him a 2 year deal at his age.

That highlights video really does make him good though  - I saw it on Wycombe's twitter feed and thought 'fuck, he scored some decent goals didn't he?' I just can't erase the weekly sitters and bad performances in the last few months or the fact at games like Crawley/Gillingham away he actually looked dead on his feet after 20 minutes.

That's what I needed. I'm feeling calm now. Normality returned.

So looks like Andy Monkhouse is turning down a new deal with us to move closer to home, makes sense really but will be missed! Was key last season.

My money would be on him moving back to Hartlepool, apparently Moore tried to get him in January.

That's a shame , classy player . Would have liked another season out of him .

Monkhouse was on holiday with our head of recruitment the other week, I doubt that's relevant though.

I hope we're not in for Monkhouse.

Gutted about Monkhouse. He was a top professional and a key player in last season's promotion.

Underrated because he isn't your typical lightning-quick winger, but what he brings to the team is better than any other lower league wide man. He brings positional awareness, a willingness to drop back and allow his full back to bomb on and he just has a knack of scoring goals. I think he got 8 last season, some with his head from set pieces and others from arriving late in the box and smashing home a partial clearance.

Anybody who takes Monky will have a very good, experienced player on their hands. He may not be a 'star' signing or a glamorous name for a League Two club, but fans who doubt his quality will be surprised by just how intelligent and effective he is.

Signed Rob Milsom on a 2 year deal. Apparently he's good, so he could be good but then again he might not be.

Supposedly Lee Angol has rejected a new contract at Luton Town, with Crystal Palace and West Ham trying to sign him.
He signed last summer from Wycombe Wanderers and went out on loan to Boreham Wood, who I gather, paid his wages for the year. He hasn't played 1 minute for us. We're still going to be due a fee apparently, although I didn't think we were eligible because we didn't develop him?

You will, but it'll be virtually non-existent.

Anything over £25,000 is probably a bonus - if we get that.

Also, Luton have lost their easyJet shirt sponsorship from this season after 6 years. Perhaps they've been outbid?

So if that WAS RT on Mad then it appears this is the first of 2 this week, the other being another midfielder.
Decent I would agree.

It was Ray Trew. It's been confirmed. Good job he's a rich accountant because his spelling is very poor.

Good signing that, I liked Milsom. Bit injury prone but a good League 1 midfielder when fit so should be fine in this league.

We (Barrow) have offered a deal to a mystery midfielder released by a League club. Hoping someone might know who fits the description?:

"Commenting on the mystery midfielder, Edmondson said: “I think he will be a good addition – he’s a young and vibrant young man.
“He’s tenacious in the way he goes about the game. He’s got a really good left foot and I’m quite surprised the football club he was at decided to release him.
“But I think a little bit of that was from him because he wants to play football regularly.
“He’s very level-headed and also versatile – he’s played at centre-back, left-back, left wing and in midfield.
“And at one point he was going to be a big thing, so this can be quite a good capture for the football club.”

If he hadn't already gone to Oxford I'd have said that is an over hyped appraisal of Scott Bennett.....

Johnny Hunt from Cambridge United? Fits the description but I think we're looking for a fee? Scored 12 goals for Wrexham in the Conference year before last but didn't get a look in with us despite the fact we paid a fee for him 12 months ago.

Actually, I'm not sure he's ever played centre back? But he is apparently close to agreeing a move.

I've seen he's from Liverpool, so may very well be looking to return to North West. A fee wouldn't really be an issue as we're spending a bit now.
There's also talk of us paying for Marcus Carver from Accrington, even though he didn't do a lot on loan.
