Craig Mackail-Smith and Michael Doyle to Pompey. Dunno how reliable that source is, guess we'll find out

Ah Demontagnac, he was one of those players even though he never did anything of note I kind of loved, even though everyone else hated him.

He got sent off for the most ridiculous kick against MK Dons in the JPT. He got kicked by Dele Ali and you could see his anger, Aidy Boothroyd asked if he was ok, Ish replied he was over it and then did this a few minutes later, fast forward to 40 seconds.

We're close to signing Doyle, not heard anything our end about Mackail-Smith though. We do need another striker though seeing as Westcarr, Agyemang, Connolly and Craddock have all left this year.

If CMS is an option then it's something I'd be happy about aslong as on the right contract, I know he's had injury problems and isn't quite the same player as a few seasons ago.

We had Compton on a short term deal a few seasons ago, and came up against him once or twice since. He's alright nothing special but could do a job.

Looks like we're in for Adam Smith - the young goalkeeper sacked by Leicester City yesterday.

That's a bit more realistic than Chris Maxwell. Did excellent when we had him on loan. Any other talent out there needing a re-connection with the real world and a bit of community rehabilitation?

Mclean could still do a job I think but I thought Luton could do better than that. I'm surprised no-one is after Ruben Reid after what's going on down there.

He's alright, as long as you have a hard working midfielder alongside him to make up for his laziness. He's technically quite good, he's capable of scoring quite a few if he gets the freedom to go forward. If you use him correctly he'll be a decent player at this level.

He could actually be just what we need. Very good goalscoring record and with Russ Penn who works amazingly hard alongside him a good fit.

Worth noting that he's been completely shit in the past 2 seasons so it'll have to be something special to get him back to where he was when he first joined us as soon as he joins you. There's plenty of talent in there somewhere though.

I guess that's why we signed him, he would be playing league one if his form had continued.

We held talks with Banton and decided 'not to pursue a deal' so yeah, maybe he is off to Carlisle or summat.

Doom Bar is the number one selling cask ale in the UK both on draught and in bottles, we ship absolutely tonnes (literally) of it around the country every night. It sells loads in the north but is particularly popular in Wales and the West as you'd expect.

Atlantic is excellent and Cornish Pilsner is one of the best lagers around. Have you tried Wolf Rock?

You sir, are not wrong. Found it in a little boozer around the back of Piccadilly in London and I was as happy as a Larry the sandboy.

Reuben Reid the one player in this league I would have ahead of anyone else. We've probably got the money for him, too.

Shame Banton fits the bill of the type of player we need. Probably had an attitude or wanted too much cash

York have reportedly agreed terms with James Berrett.

How's your patience York fans? Do you have a high threshold for frustration? Do you consider scoring a handful of long-range free kicks to make up for doing nothing besides getting booked in every other game?

Even after you've signed the other 35 players you've been linked with in the last 3 hours?

Phahaha, why? In all seriousness he's not even the best striker in this league let alone the best player.

Simon Walton has signed for Crawley.

Started to win me over towards the end of the season but not sure he justified the money he was likely to be earning. Good penalty taker though.

i wouldn't say patience is our forte, we have been frustrated many times over the years and shoddy midfield play is the norm for us over the last year or two.

I think that unless you manage to unlock his lost potential, you'll find Berrett to be somewhat of a frustration. He has talent, but basically isn't interested in doing any midfield work whatsoever... actually his poor disciplinary record is due to the fact that being played in midfield means he occasionally is called upon to make a tackle, and can't tackle for shit, he's purely there for scoring goals, nothing else. He has a good shot on him, but isn't deadly enough, or good enough at holding the ball up or positioning to be a striker. He was good for us when we had a good midfield around him and could just leave him forward, he was a 10-goal-a-season midfielder, but was soon exposed as a one-trick-pony when we started to struggle and needed every player to put in a complete performance.

You've got to be the most boring, pedantic chap on the forum. Just saying like.
