We've confirmed the signing of ex-Derby and Notts County right back Ben Davies on a year's contract following a successful trial.

About time too, pretty sure he's played right back all pre season for us. Will definitely start off as RB for us though.

Pretty sure Ben Davies has been at RB for a few years now, used to play RM but his coming of age meant he dropped back it seems!

He had no pace in his prime, imagine some left wingers will fancy a run at him.

Notts C fans calling themselves "infinitely more interesting" than anyone else in an attempt to deflect attention away from their ridiculous summer of recruitment.

Fair play.

Didn't necessarily mean interesting in a good way. That's half the fun though. It's been a good summer overall, we've basically made some really good signings mixed in with some weird ones. Not really sure why we'd deflect attention away from it, we're signing lots of players and spending quite a bit of money...the horror of it all.

Looks like we've got Stephane Zubar on loan again although not confirmed. Im happy with this as he has a bit more pace than our other mountainous centre-backs.

A bit late, but we signed winger Jeffrey Monakana on loan from Brighton earlier in the week. One month initially.

Wouldn't rule out seeing one or two more before the deadline, but I think we're done for now.

We had Luke Rodgers play for us against Heanor Tuesday night. He scored 2.

Muzza has said he maybe after 2 before Saturday, Mentioned cover in defence and another.
I'm assuming the ref didn't play offside for this friendly game?

Gas fans. Monakana is good if he can be bothered to train...to get the fat of his arse so to speak.
Morecambe fans. We had Miller here on loan and he looked pretty good but then the manager didn't play him. No idea why.

We have signed Bryan Van Den Bogaert on a short term deal. He comes from Belgium and has played for Royal Antwerp 80 times or so. More importantly.

We have a left back!

Izale appears to be on strike.

He is not in the team photos, he has not trained and Yates has spoken to the pfa regarding him.

He will obviously be leaving but I doubt it will be for another league 2 club as the reason he wants out is he doesn't want to play at this level. Could change though.

Ben Chorley mentioned on twitter as potential target for us.

We need another CB and he's certainly experienced.

What's he like Pompey, Orient and Stevenage fans?

He wants to join us, from what I know.

Doubt we'd be so confident going public with our bids if we didn't know personal terms would be a formality as well.

Players going on strike have absolutely no sympathy with me whatsoever. Especially one is probably being very well remunerated by his employer - quite feasibly £60-75,000pa.

David Tutonda on a 6 month loan deal and Stephane Zubar on a 1 month deal confirmed.

Does anyone want a left back or left wing back? We now have shit loads of them.

Seems we were the last club to see the best of him.

Apart from an awful 2011/12 season (Where he wasn't the only one) he was steady enough for us.

We sold him to Stevenage as he was on good money with us at the time and we already had another 3 CBs with us. He was out of contract at the end of the season and Slade had already said to him he wouldn't get another due to our budget restrictions at the time.

After he left us, he just seems to be injured all the time.

Suprised he might go to Exeter though due to his family in South London - Which is why he left Tranmere for us back in 2009.

Joy....Sounds like Danny Coles.

When we signed him halfway through our first season in league 2 he actually looked alright but ever since he's just been a slow, poor thug who loves a red card.

Stevenage sign Tom Hitchcock and Jamie McCombe - disappointingly decent couple of signings for them just ahead of our opener

I'd be very concerned if you signed him, way past his best!

Hoping it's just Twitter nonsense then as he sounds past it. We are short of a CB so if he did sign I'd hope it would be as backup as Ribeiro, Troy Brown and Moore-Taylor are much better.

Liam Wakefield signed for Accrington. Shame but our sickening excuse of a manager only likes young players who are Scottish.
