Oh here is my Stalker Again.

I will say what I like Cretin. The way Watford have gone about this is sly beyond belief. Go read the facts and try to understand the context.

You have completely missed my point yet again, I do not begrudge Rob moving to a bigger club, I do begrudge the lack of respect to do this behind Dale’s back when he gave him his chance at Managing a league club and has always said just talk to him. Watford encouraged Rob to go behind Dale’s back and not communicate.

The fact that you see nothing wrong with this, says everything about your character.

Now go off and kiss Mansfied’s ass, who indecently look like they might not sell out their home allocation for a huge League 2 Playoff.
Oh dear, once again you have shown yourself up with your mega offensive and insulting post.

Dale Vince has only himself to blame that a successful manager must go behind his back for a better job opportunity.
He sacked manager Jim Harvey almost immediately after Harvey had the audacity to attend a job interview with another club.
So NO there is nowt wrong with Watford's approach bearing in mind Dale Vince's previous behaviour.

Don’t worry. He’s already contaminating the L1 forum on how Exeter are destined for the autos.

I’ll eat my own shit if that happens.
You cant blame the lad for getting a bit excited, he probably wasnt born the last time Exeter were in L1.

Christ, you can speak to whoever you want at any point of time. Fuck me, contract law and employment law needs to be taught in that shite arse-end of nowhere shithole in the Cotswold.

You don't seem to understand how this works, there are different rules in place in football. Have you ever wondered why you often read things in the press like 'Club A have been granted permission by Club B to speak to their manager'? They aren't doing it that way out of kindness, they're doing it because that's what they are required to do.

If you wanna treat it as a standard fixed term employment contract then we would be within our rights to make Edwards and Kyle see out their notice, which obviously doesn't happen in football.

Sod the employer!

Lovely attitude.
Absolutely. You're a commodity to your employer and they wouldn't think twice if they needed to get rid of you. There's this weird loyalty thing that goes round in football. It's a business like any other..there's no loyalty.....players and managers should look out for themselves and their family...no one else matters. It may leave a bad taste but I'm sure Edwards wouldn't be delighted if he was sacked by December after guiding you to the 3rd tier for the first time in your history.

You should always do what's right for you and Edwards had absolutely no obligation to speak to anyone about his future employment. Vince would have undoubtedly made his life difficult if he knew he wanted out. I have never informed a current employer about looking for a new job. I just hand my notice in when confirmed.

Why do you think lots of interviews are conducted outside of business hours?

Wild lives in Oldham and I read once that he wouldn't like to move home to manage someone else. Barrow would be ideal if you still train in Manchester.

That said, if the Shaymen get promoted you would think he would stay there
This.
Apparently he’d agreed to take over Pools after DC left,Pools wanted him to relocate,he wouldn’t & it put the kybosh on things.

Someone else who doesn’t understand EFL rules then.

Right Cretin some facts for your little brain.

Dale Vince took over in 2010
Harvey was sacked in 2008.

Oh dear, your point is?

I really didn’t expect all this Forest Green BEEF when we were relegated.
Haha,

It’s only me against a Weirdo, I swear he is a Troll and not an FGR fan anyway, as he constantly Slags off the club and gets facts wrong all the time that any real FGR fan should know!

Nathan Rooney among favourites to get Crawley job.

Ex Crawley assistant manager and Port Vale first team coach.

Has a "great reputation" but he seems to be here there and everywhere.

He was only with us for a brief time but had some different job title that basically ultimately meant he was involved in our academy rather than the first team. Think he split his time with us and managing Colne in the Northern Premier. Not to say he isn’t a good coach but whether that’s sufficient experience is another matter.

For the 1st time in Dale Vince’s reign as Chairman of FGR he has had a manager resign on him. So it will be interesting to watch as he negotiates for a replacement.
He has been super fortunate that the last three managers he has appointed did a better than excellent job: -

# Ady Pennock managed the team to the play-offs with the club’s historical highest ever points tally of 89 points in one season.
# Mark Cooper secured promotion in his first season as manager and then took club to two further play-offs.
# Rob Edwards secured promotion in his one year with club.

Where credit must be given to Vince is that he has shown that he is prepared to allow managers time to do the business. At one time Mark Cooper was amongst the longest serving managers in football league. That is why there will be a hundred or more applicants for the vacant position.
Dale Vince’s flaw is that he sacks his managers at wrong time of season. Both Pennock & Cooper were sacked after they both managed team into a place in the play-offs, which needless to say FGR lost on both occasions.
If Vince had held his nerve FGR could perhaps have been playing in Football League 1 a couple of years earlier.

It is interesting how the club’s playing style has evolved over the years. When Pennock was in charge he hated team conceding a single goal. 1-0 victories to him was gold dust.
Mark Cooper insisted on his team keeping possession by playing out from the back. Sideway passes became the norm.
Whereas Rob Edwards allowed his team the freedom to roam. He was not overly concerned that they might lose ball possession or concede a goal or two because, as shown with title win, he knew the players would win it back. Attractive football it is called.

Of the last three managers it is only Edwards that the supporters had overwhelming affection for. Mind you he did have a fantastic start to his FGR career by topping League table from virtually beginning of season and staying there for practically every week until title win. And unlike Cooper he had tremendous rapport with the fans by smiling and acknowledging them on every occasion.
In truth he has left the new manager large boots to fill.

As both Ady Pennock and Cooper ended up going from FGR to Barrow i think it's inevitable and unfortunate that Edwards will not last long at Watford and will end up as our 2nd or 3rd manager next season...

Of course Ady did good after his stint at Barrow.
He went off to Singapore and won the Premiership title in 1st season with club.
BTW his deputy Jamie Day at FGR & Barrow became the longest serving and most successful national team manager of Bangladesh.

Mark enhanced his reputation as a fire-fighter at Barrow by keeping them in EFL. He did same with Notts County in 2016. Not a fans favourite but chairmen will look favourably on his management record. Cooper can and has done well with limited resources. He may well be back as manager by start of new season albeit in National League.

Agree with a lot of this. Technically shouldn’t we be discussing this in the league 1 forum though ;)

I know you don’t agree with him on most things and he winds you up but I’m pretty sure I know who he is and he is a real FGR fan that comes to games, not a troll. Suppose like most things you aren’t gonna see eye to eye on stuff even if you support the same club.

He will never ever compete with Bradford's Richard O'Donnell for the forum's affection.
Sadly former now, our calendar sales will take a big hit. Fans chanting top shagger to him while his wife was sat there then abusing him a minute later when he didn’t catch a cross, great times.

Top shagger keeper (sponsored by John Terry) award has to go to Sam Slocombe.

I think Slocombe gets extra shagger points for slapping cheeks of a team mates missus
