I’ve never heard of anything more tinpot than Dover travelling up on the day of a game for a (checks) 6 and a half hour trip!! I demand points deductions!
We had a funny situation about 18 months ago where we had to call off a home game because our team didn't show up (most of the team got stuck in traffic)......Meanwhile the away team (Macclesfield) managed to get to the game well in time.

After that embarrassing incident (it even made national press) our management made it so the players had to show up 3-4 hours early for every home game.

Aldershot (and Boreham Wood, apparently )
My first Shots game since early August. Same old, same old, couldn’t score in a brothel. Like the new diamond 4-4-2. Classic away performance from ‘pools.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again - beware of Boreham Wood.

Ref gives 6 minutes added time for no apparent reason. Barnet score 90+7. Then he even gives them a couple more minutes to find a winner. Feel sick.

I think your keeper spent 6 minutes taking one goal kick!

Once we upped the tempo a little, we found our way back into the game. Had Pavey not missed a sitter, we probably would have won that.

If we play with urgency and find some creativity, we will challenge for the title in a division that appears wide open.

Ahhh great to see the absolute classic football forum comment from a supporter of a team who have conceded a gut wrenching injury time goal.

Bitter. Sour. Love it.

More the fact that they hadn’t piped up all game but

Wassup guys, nobody want this top spot?
:ds::bdick::db:
yeah if no one else takes it by January, we will take it from you.
Still think Yeovil and County could be the stayers in that race, and despite, what they would regard a disappointing display today, Bromley should be top 7.

Aldershot were very poor against Hartlepool, able to produce chances well enough but never looked like putting any away; relative to the level he's playing at, Shamir Mullings is one of the most useless strikers I have ever seen. Hartlepool weren't exactly much better, but they didn't need to be; they just needed to take their chances and, penalty miss aside, they did exactly that.

Wife? F**k don't give her any ideas.
Kids??? :ohm: Who? When? Where???:dk:

Although there was that wild night in Ko Samui in the early 2000s :ohn:

So a quality for 3 for 3 there.

Don't be so sensitive sweetheart, it's just a game of football. You're gonna be entertaining , I can tell ;)

It's ours to lose, despite the turmoil of the summer. Strong squad, solid defence, goal threat, great work ethic and team spirit and injured first team players still to come back. The owners would probably find a bit of cash down the back of the sofa too if we need to strengthen.
We've played teams above us the last few weeks and lost to none of them.
Still very early but it feels like something is building.
Great support from Torquay and based on today would expect them to be top seven .

I think that on paper we have the strongest squad in the league, the mitigating thing was that we had no pre-season and really it was only put together come the end of August. That no one’s been able to put any distance between us and them makes me pretty confident now.

Notts should be blowing this league out of the water with their squad.

Easy to say but we were in a pretty similar state to Bury in July and signed most of our players two days before kick off, had a crazy pre season and were still putting a squad together in September.

We were utter crap today and deserved nothing. Notts looked a decent outfit but other clubs will give you harder games. Unbelievable numbers from us too. Totally let down

I couldn't care less that we lost today. The game isn't important. We've received the horrendous news that Martin 'Badger' Baker, founder of the Ciderspace website, was found dead this afternoon.

This has stunned me and the whole of the Yeovil Town community. Badger worked tirelessly on behalf of the fans and put in thousands of hours of work to ensure we had just about the best unofficial club website out there. Everyone knew and liked him and his knowledge of the club was second to none. This has left a massive hole which cannot be filled and quite honestly it's knocked me for six. I'm still reeling.

RIP Badger

Easy to say when you’ve won I know but that’s unbelievably harsh imo. I thought you looked a decent team, played some nice stuff and tried to put us under pressure but just couldn’t break down what is a really good defence.

RIP Badger, used ciderspace a few times to source away numbers, always a decent site.

Back to normal for us yesterday.

Created plenty of chances, but couldn't hit a barn door. Hartlepool could, and thats why they won 3-0.

A word for the referee, who is a contender for worst decision of the season. Kinsella wins the ball two yards outside the area and he awards Hartlepool a penalty. Fortunately, justice was served as Walker saved it.

probably the same ref who awarded one to Woking for a foul outside the area against us after playing advantage. There are some useless refs in this league...
