probably the same ref who awarded one to Woking for a foul outside the area against us after playing advantage. There are some useless refs in this league...

Nope, it was his first game at this level and it showed.... we were shit though.

had it confirmed to me last night by someone who is employed by the club that it was true.

Sorry, I meant the bit about the players turning around cos they didn't want to face Barrow. No way would that be the case - one of the directors or the manager must have made the call to head home.

Well, 3 home games in a row we’ve played against teams just sitting deep and failed to score. No coincidence our results have been better away from home recently. We rely far too much on hitting teams on the break. We won’t stay top for much longer. Mid table looming.

I’ve never heard of anything more tinpot than Dover travelling up on the day of a game for a (checks) 6 and a half hour trip!! I demand points deductions!

Superb support from Torquay today, over 600 making the trip, fair play. I thought we looked a class above though, we’re gonna piss this league.*

*We might not .
Torquay cost us our place in this league in 2016, when they travelled to Guisly on the last day of the season, arrived half an hour before kick off and went in 3 nil down at half time. Their relegation in 2018 was sweet.

The first 15 minutes v Woking I couldn't believe how dreadful they were... I genuinely thought we would give em a tonking.

Then Loach fails to command his 6 yard box and a soft goal... Probably Wokings only effort. The rest of the first half was a non event as we continued to pass sideways and backwards whilst Woking did very little.

Second half we gifted Woking another goal and eventually we woke up.

Woking had the game in the bag, you have to question their game management because they continued to attack which was ridiculous as it played into our hands and opened up play.

A quality first from us followed by a really crap equaliser gave us what we deserved.

Its always nice to see the opposition fans pig sick at the end and players on their knees as if they lost the champions league final.

The only crumb of comfort is we surely can't be as bad as this again... Fortunately we got away with it against a fairly average opponent.

I think most Bees fans accept with our squad littered with John Stills crap signings from Aldershot and Dagenham we have to see the season out.

My only highlight was watching our Captain calamity Callum Reynolds being skinned by Dave Tarpey.... A snail is quicker than Tarpey!

Definatley his Achilles heel.
Great shot stopper, but I could never understand why,at 6’4”,he was hopeless at that.

I’d have loved to have seen the look on the Woking keepers face,he’s an A grade tosser.
He was our keeper for most of 17/18 after Jamie Stephens suffered a severe injury. Not one of our most cherished old boys!

Loach came to us highly rated but was weak from the off and never established himself. Same thing for us, weak at crosses and didn't command his box.

Who the fuck relies on the trains to get them anywhere on time, let alone the other side of the country?
I thought that. There's being sensible with money and then there's being stupid.

FAO Chipmunx... saw your post on the barrowafc site. For the record only 1 of our players was on international duty (modeste). The sense of entitlement from your fans on there is something else. Expectations of being able to hand pick dates to play the game to cause most inconvenience to dover, calls for points deductions, handing you the win, huge fines etc. It's a shame that the game was called off on non league day and I'd be frustrated too if we were on a good run and expecting a good crowd, but get a sense of perspective...

Do you all honestly believe that we decided to not bother showing up just because we didnt fancy playing against the mighty Barrow?

Just seen Pavey's miss vs Woking! :dk:

He's actually done pretty well to miss the target from that distance.

Was it as bad as Mo Bettemar for Aldershot, missed what seemed to be a tap in from about 4 yards out

Just seen the highlights. Hard lines Aldershot but that’s basically us in most home games. Miss gilt edge chances then get sucker punched. About time we did it to someone so I’ll take that.

We're used to it - apart from Dover we've not been clinical in front of goal all season. One of the reasons we will finish in the bottom 6

in fairness to Bettemar, he was clearly not expecting the ball to drop over the defenders head.
If that makes Shots fans feel any better :dk:

Pavey's miss is at 3:50

Such a bad miss the Barnet fans all celebrated assuming it went in.

To be fair it confused me at the time wondering why the players weren’t celebrating. Is he already nominated in the shit strikers thread? Meite for us should be in there too.

It’s early days and he does at least cause a nuisance but from what I’ve seen, Pavey looks pretty awful.

Let’s hope he’s a confidence player and once he finds the net, he’ll start playing a bit better.

I really rated him at Dover until he decided he didn't want to play for us any more a few games into this season and just started strolling about.
