Our record so far:

L 4-3 to Cleethorpes Town
L 1-0 to Sunderland
L 3-2 to Cleethorpes Town (GY youth team)
L 3-1 to Rotherham (120 minutes, 1-1 @90)

Looking good so far!
I’ve heard we’re bringing out a 4 game commemorative DVD to celebrate our pre season achievements so far.

Beating Altrincham 3-0 at half time, Ng, Bowery and Wintle with the goals. The best part so far has been George Ray taking over the official twitter, comedy gold.

Hope you're right Viking. Anyway, I'll see for myself tomorrow, couldn't stay away any longer.
Hoping to see some pace and power from these expensive new signimgs.

Just had a look out of interest. Don’t you mean comedy rust?

Yes, very mixed effort. That's our star CB for you.

Won 3-0 in the end, 2nd half was a non-event. Not a bad run out, but I'm not sure why, given we've only got 1 major friendly left, that we left out 3-4 first team players tonight. Shaun Miller given the night off, James Jones and George Ray in the stands. Still got Nicky Hunt on trial, despite Artell saying 11 days ago that he would make a decision on him soon.

Got a couple of minor friendlies to come, but the last big one is Blackpool at home next Saturday.

We have Pompey at home tomorrow. Imagine it will be a lovely day, decent crowd and the added bonus (we think) of a new signing being announce and our away kit on show.

What a time to be alive!

Our U18s lost 4-0 to Spalding. Haven't scored a goal yet all pre-season (the one we did get was an OG) so we are definitely going up as champions.

Akinde hasn't got a pen yet? I find that hard to believe.

lost 2-0 against Burnley last night but put in a creditable performance, apart from the two goals we conceded which were absolutely criminal. Based on player performances Danny Whit is still our standout player, while Harry Smith had some good touches and Welch Hayes put himself about well.

Still need more central midfielders, wingers and another keeper though.

Looking at the team sheet, I'm not even sure it was the U18 side!

Out of the Lincolnshire Senior Cup at this early stage. Terrible...

Pompey beat us 2-0 today. Sounds like we played quite well but ultimately lost to a better side. Good that our best centre back Dion Conroy played 65 minutes after being out injured most of last season.

Benteke and Edmundson with our goals, Forest with very early and late strikes. Still no Byrne or Baxter, as well as others missing today. :(

^ I saw that Yeovil result when scrolling through the live scores on Flashscore. So far I've only settled on the U's to make the top 3 this coming season, but now I reckon there's every chance Yeovil will be one of the other two sides to join us. This PSF business - more specifically, who's going up/down - is easy enough to grasp once you learn what to look out for.

Meanwhile, TOP Championship side Millwall could only get a couple of late goals after Joe Dunne wisely decided that it was a tad embarrassing for Millwall to not win this game so he took everybody off around the one hour mark and gave our youth team some much needed game time. Fair play Joe

BTW we also had a game last night, a rather easy 3-0 win over highly rated Conference side Braintree.

In Dunne we trust. Onwards to L1 :bravo:

We've just HAMMERED the Gas 1-0, Doidge pen. Apparently we were all over them for the first half at least. Think the nil to them is more important than the one to us, even if they weren't their strongest. Mid-table is almost touching distance!

Watched the shakers v Chester, Bury very poor. Stokes, Aimson, Cooney, Gold, Archer, Dagnall, plus a whole host of others absolute rubbish, but for Murphy in the 1st half Chester would have been out sight. Chester had some far better players. Long struggle ahead for Lowe and his team. Just can’t see where the goals are going to come from. From his actions in the dugout
( I was right behind it) Lowe knows it to. Lowe a yes man for Day. National league beckons unless league 2 is dross. Chester 2 levels below passed it much better. Better organised. A decent forward or 2 and they will do well.

Possibly the most negative summary about a pre-season victory I’ve ever seen.

Went to AFC Fylde today. Nice little setup they’ve got to be fair.

We won the game 1-0 but there are worrying signs. Our strike force is absolutely shite, no pace, lack of ability and not much of a goal threat. Our goal was a deflected long range shot.

If we don’t sign some quality in the final third we’re in for a miserable season.

We lost 4-1 to Leicester, pretty even game tbh and we showed some good stuff, but they were incredibly clinical as you would expect. We made a couple of mistakes that would likely lead to nowt in League Two, but against them it was an instant goal.

We’ve had a bit of a weird pre-season tbh, feel like we’ve not played enough games and the four that we have played have either been against part time teams that we’ve battered or teams much better than us, not sure how much we can have learned really. Last one at Luton next week may give a better indication of where we’re at.

Who do you think you are brain dead
What’s the point in supporting Bury if you’re constantly negative to the point it’s laughable?

Fair enough there is a lot wrong at Bury but if you can’t even have a pre-season victory without you going off on one then what’s the point. We get it, you don’t like Lowe, neither do I as an appointment, but have a day off.

Lost 1-0 to Blackpool, goal was miles offside apparently but sounds like we played well enough, had a shot blocked on the like by a Blackpool player... who’s currently on loan to us! Quigley blocking his own team mates effort.

Waiting now on FA to decide on Miller so hoping we can get him in next week. Decision Wednesday I think.

Interesting Sam Foley was at the game too. Would welcome him back with open arms but not sure why he was there in all honesty.

I'm confused. Is Omotayo amazingly good or utterly shit? Bury fans seem TOTALLY divided.....

We are currently mullering Plymouth 5-1 with 20 minutes to go including 3 worldies. Rhys Browne and Diallang Jaiyesimi have torn them apart.
2 players who had a lot of potential here but were never given a proper chance, I know Browne left to be closer to family following his Dads death but whilst he was here he was never given a proper chance despite obvious signs of talent, and Jaiyesimi looked great one minute but then drifted out of games the next and couldn't nail down a starting place. Both of them on their day (which sounds like today is one of them) have the potential to be terrific.
