All i know is that Oldham were the worst team to come to Rovers this season.
Just wait til saturday.

Weirdly, you guys were the worst to come to ours all season back in December, nearly 20% of our total home goals this season came in that game!

Goodness we were awful that day. We always lose away to you as well.

I remember at that point we were really on a downward slide and looking towards a relegation battle, it seems the game should be the exact opposite on Saturday then :)

I fully expect us to lose - we're on the beach and you're good at home. I also expect at least one of Rochdale and Oldham to lose, and we'll be safe anyway. Don't really get all our lot on Twitter saying we'd be 'lucky' to stay up - we've got 52 points which is generally agreed to be a safe figure, and if we get more points than 4 other sides then I don't get how that can be construed as luck!

I think at the end of the season the table never lies - you in form run (around Christmas wasn't it?) is clearly enough to keep you up, i don't see any of the other relegation teams producing that sort of form, hence why they're there and you're not.

I think the only time the table can lie is when you can either finish 9th or 14th depending on the last game of the season, that can be harsh

We missed two penalties as well although put the rebound in for one of them.

Rumours on our own board that we could be interested in the left back you are releasing - Lee Brown? Seems he wants to move back closer to London. We have one left back that is quick but cant defend (Garmston) and another that is only on loan (Ogilvie) so we would be looking for someone in that position if we stay up.

Would you recommend?

Happily - it would be a good move for him as well. Brown has been with us for 7 years now - he has tremendous loyalty and he's an absolute pro. He had offers to leave us when we were relegated in the conference but decided to stay and help us get back up, I guess he's never really looked back since that moment.

Sure he has his faults he's a L1 defender, but he's got a good cross, superb long distance shot & freekick, penalty taker, he isn't slow nor is he super pacey and he's got a good footballing brain.

Here's some of his goals for us (PS he always props up at the most important times to score - EG stealing automatic promotion in the last minute of the season)

Looking like 9000 or 10000+ at the Bescot on Saturday, 2000 away fans.

I'd like to think that'd inspire our insipid bunch of quality-less players on to win but I just can't see where a goal will come from with Oztumer off the boil and a striker who scores every 550+ minutes leading the line.

But when was the last time he scored?

If its more than 460 minutes, you might just win it

It's so difficult to predict.

I always felt Rochdale could get out even when they were well adrift but they're still only out the bottom 4 on goal difference and Walsall have a game in hand. Rochdale's last 2 games are tricky. Oxford who have picked up of late winning 2 of their last 3 and a Charlton side who are fighting for a play off spot and have won their last 2. I'm going to predict they get 1 point from the 2 games and finish on 49.

Walsall's form has been poor and although they have 3 games to go, Saturdays 6 pointer against Northampton looks like a must win to me. However, the Saddlers have lost 5 of their last 6 at home and the Cobblers come in on the back of 2 wins so that looks unlikely. I'm going to say they'll sneak a point but lose there last 2 away games at Fleetwood and Bradford leaving them on 49.

Northampton couldn't have 2 better games to end on and seem to have hit form at just the right time. l think they'll take a point off Walsall and beat Oldham on the final day to finish on 50 completing what looked an unlikely escape a few weeks ago.

As I've said, I think Oldham will lose at Northampton on the final day so that basically means they have to beat Doncaster at home tomorrow. The good news for Oldham is that Doncaster seem to have already packed up for the summer, losing their last 2 without scoring and scraping a 3-3 draw with bottom club Bury prior to that. The bad news for Oldham is they got well beat in their last home match losing 3-0 to mid table Southend. I'm going to predict a draw meaning Oldham also finish on 49.

Northampton survive on 50 and Rochdale stay up with 49 points on goal difference leaving Oldham and Walsall as the unlucky 2 who join MK and Bury in L2.

So it will probably turn out to be the complete opposite.

If Walsall need a win against us I’m not convinced they won’t get it. We’re unbeaten in 4 but we haven’t been playing well. It just happened that MK laid down and died on Tuesday and Rochdale keeper had a mare last Saturday.

Woof.

So that's Northampton down, which helps us as we play them next week.

Walsall and Wimbledon just need a point apiece from Tuesday or Saturday to be sure of safety.

Rochdale vs Charlton
Northampton vs Oldham

Oldham just need to equal whatever Rochdale do to stay up. Which one gets on TV?

Obviously a defeat is bad for us, but the worst part of the day was being jumped in the car park by the Walsall massive after the game. Had two women with us which obviously didn't matter as the 20 or so of them we're throwing punches at all of us. Disgraceful.

That's awful, I'm sorry to hear that. We have some right idiots in our fanbase.

Huge win, we rode our luck but league 1 football looking much more likely now thanks to the hero known as George Dobson.

Well it is nice to say we are definitely not part of this anymore.

Will Rochdale have more cutting edge with Henderson coming back because they need it? They created 1 clear cut chance which Simon Eastwood made a stunning save from and a good finish for their goal there wasn't much else.

It really is Oldham's to screw up now.
