Dagenham lose their 30th game of the season then.

I fully expect NOT to see 'John Still' posting on this thread again. Because this thread isn't for Losers.

Most probably Tranmere's promotion now, they only have themselves to blame if they can't complete the job against that lot.

Daggers were toothless, would have been surprised to see them go up anyway, they concede too many goals.
Chorley beat Kiddy 2-0 and Salford V Halifax is still level

I want whoever would be less competitive next season to stay down.

Would that be FGR or Tranmere?

Mostly disappointed our last 3 games on BT have been below par displays. Not too fussed about the outcome as we're not ready for promotion. After last season, the main thing was that we didn't do a York. Instead we've put some excellent foundations down and acquired a tidy little squad. A few more additions and a bit of luck on the injury front and next season should be similar but maybe with a sweeter ending.

As for the final, I'd like Tranmere to go up I think.

That's a tough one Soup. Don't know anything about Tranmere's finances but FGR will always be highly competitive with Dale Vince in charge.

ps - I see things your way too, as I would always want the strongest side to go up. Only last night I was arguing with a fellow U's fan who said I'm wrong in wanting Luton to go up this year, just because they're a minor rival of ours.

Whoever stays down will be competitive. Tranmere (who I think will win) have a very good squad and I expect Mellon will strengthen further in the summer. Palios will back him financially.

FGR I expect to be much better next year. Cooper is trying to build a team who play a particular way. I don't think he's quite there yet and again I expect him to strengthen and the team to be better at the possession football. Again they've got the money to buy anyone they want, even if Doig etc leave they will bring in someone else decent.

I expect whoever loses at Wembley to be next year's champions.

What scares me about this league from reading this forum is everyone is expecting to do well next season. Surely some teams don't do as well as they wanted :(

And thinking further I expect Daggers and Aldershot to compete next year, chiefly as Still and Waddock are excellent experienced managers at this level. Then you've got Barrow, Macclesfield, Gateshead, hopefully Wrexham, possibly Dover agajn, Orient and Hartlepool as well as any surprise package from the teams who finished strongly this season and the cash rich teams coming up. Should be a close league next year (although at least one of those listed are likely to Tank. Probably us again)

EDIT: always forget about Eastleigh. Surely they can't be terrible again next season?

I'm sure it's not that bad here but I honestly feel like we're about to start a jail sentence. It's like we've just been convicted and we have to re-appear for sentencing in August.

What do we need to bring with us? Who are the threats, should I leave the soap behind? Are visitors allowed? How should we behave on the exercise yard on Saturday afternoons? Can other clubs/rich people on the outside give us money to spend in the canteen window periods? Can I call my old friends when we're here? Are we allowed to wear our own clothes?

We will make a profit in 17/18.. with potential sell on clauses on championship players that could bring in millions, we will have a budget bigger than this year regardless of division.

Delighted with that, Daggers started much better but then faded. Shouldn't think Mickey Mellon is too nervous but there's more to come from them.
Wish those little scrotes hadn't gone to goad the Daggers fans, could live without that twattery.

York and Torquay spring to mind. Welcome to the melting pot of fallen giants and village upstarts. Be prepared for a few years of honest toil. This is a tough league with no room for part timers; some clubs lose a million pounds a year thanks to sugar daddies. Most other fans are friendly, but you may find yourselves being segregated regularly if you travel in numbers.

On balance I think we are a better side than FGR but they have good players and are more than capable of doing a job on us as they did at Prenton Park a few weeks ago. Plus we will be missing another key player in James Wallace.

Feeling nervous.

FGR 'have served their time' in this league, surely it's them to go up.

Step too far for this young, inexperienced and injured side.

Fantastic season for us and you only have to look at York to see what can really happen if your club gets it wrong.

Have a good summer all see you in a few months where we can do it all again

What you should be scared of, my monkey hanging friend, is the standard of the officials. It's a real eye opener believe me. Oh and that some of the teams down here are expert at the "dark arts" of football. There are more snides in this League than n any I have ever seen before..

I fully expect us to be a mid table team next season with Locky and Penny recruiting a full squad and leading them through a full pre season prep.

Dear Tranmere,

Please finish the job and get promoted, we'd like a shot at being the biggest team in a division for at least one season and if you lose the final then you'll retain this illustrious crown.

Many Thanks

Didn't you say the same last season too?

You'll be going down with us.

Nope, I said we had better players, which we did but they couldn't play as a team. After Locky and Dave arrived and brought their own players in we did pretty well. Like Woking, our last thirty games had us comfortably mid table, tenth and eleventh.

If we fail to beat FGR on Sunday we'll set a POINTS RECORD next season.

Cause you know, I'm all about those records.

Really hope Tranmere go up, they deserve it - also means one less Northern game and gets rid of bigger competition for our WALKING OF THE LEAGUE next season.
Bit of a shame it couldn't be us v Tranmere in the final as that would have attracted the biggest crowd - we'd have probably bought 12 - 15k, whereas I can't see FGR bringing more than 5k.
All the best for next Sunday to both teams - to the rest, see you next season
