Should be making better signings than that with their new owners.

I'm going to keep saying thus until people listen. We aren't planning on buying the league, its about continual growth and improvement on and off the pitch. They've said that repeatedly.

OK but Hyde is too old to be one to develop and isn't fit enough to be brought in as first choice striker.

Assuming your goal next season is the playoffs he isn't a great signing towards that objective. He'll be useful when fit but he doesn't help if you are looking for continuity.

Stockport County.
Wrexham taking their anger out on Halifax I'm hearing? Pushing and shoving them around and taking their best striker?

This should make us all very angry.

Hyde's a good stirker at this level. I don't know what people are expecting Wrexham to sign. They went for Quigley and got very close, so they're clearly well in the mix.

Wrexham lads need to calm down. They'll be up there.

Yes, absolutely, but ideally younger and without the… rumours about why he suddenly disappeared. It’s hard not to think our hopes once again hinge on getting and keeping Roberts fit, to be honest. I’m sure we’ll sign a functioning midfield and otherwise we look fine, but he can be the difference.
Do go on…
Just rumours but heard Adi Yussuf close to agreeing a 1 year deal back with Grimsby. Was alright last time he was here in L2 then dropped down and got himself a move to Blackpool. Not a huge intent of a big name but hard worker and will get around 10 goals.
Agree with above, I don’t remember him running around much last time, though I can’t even remember what sort of player he was?? Would be very surprised as he doesn’t seem a Hurst sort of player at all.

His age is what I meant when I said he doesn't really meet the profile. But then again we don't really have any older heads in the squad and Hyde is more than adequate for this level, so maybe it makes sense in the short term.

Not exactly an inspiring tag line for the TV show, can see why you couldn't get it on Netflix now ;)

Weve already subjected people to several.episodes of Dean Keates post match interviews (Look...) so hitting them over the head with messages of sustainability will be just the ticket. Its what Disney is all about after all.

Someone reckoned we had Ira Jackson Jr playing for us yesterday?

What's the deal with him Grimsby?

Been told he can leave, not good enough for lge 2 but would have liked to give him a chance at this level, he certainly wasn't our worst player last year and there are others I'd like to have seen gone before him.

Wouldn't mind him back here, seems like one of those players were non league is his level then moves to the lge and doesn't cut it.

Thought Disney was about Princesses and talking animals?

Two more players looking likely.

Looks like Tom Walker is coming back for a fourth spell. After missing out on Pilkington I’m not very excited if he’s the back-up option on the back of last season. He is very versatile so could make a very good squad player if he can find his confidence again and show the form he had in his second spell and continued with Fylde.

A more exciting rumour is that we are signing highly-rated Man Utd CB Will Fish on loan. Has captained their u23s and made his PL debut in a dead rubber on the final day against Wolves.

The Cardwell rumour has started gaining momentum on our forum.
Fits our type of player profile.
Can't say I'd be excited if he's Hyde's replacement. Not been prolific anywhere he's been

His spell with us was quite mixed.

He was really impressive at the start of his loan spell and looked an upgrade on Bennett but he tailed off quite dramatically towards the end.

He’s not terrible in front of goal just doesn’t always get himself in goal scoring positions after coming deep. He tires very easily and is next to useless after 70 mins.

Only scored one goal in all his time here but a player who runs himself into the ground with 100% effort every game so he never got any stick from anybody here.
Fucking handsome bastard too.

Kurtis Guthrie being looked at in a behind closed doors game for Grimsby.
As is Guy Melamed which on the face of it looks like a potentially good signing.

Guthrie on the other hand has been comically bad in the past 2 seasons

Jackson Jnr for me was absolutely woeful, did a nice interview once and people got hyped up by it (our fans LOVE a nice guy even if it means 0 talent). Came back after that interview and the fans realised he was still actually shite.

Sounds exactly like a forward we just released Claudio Ofosu, decent in the jumpers for goalposts league but looked incredibly raw higher up the ladder, it was definitely him anyway, we play again tomorrow we'll see if he turns up again.

Don't know what interview you mean, so no that's not the reason I think he would be ok at this level, plus I already said he isn't good enough for league 2.

Tbf he managed to get into goal scoring positions quite a lot of the time, hence his 3(?) goals for us. Unfortunately he’s just not a great footballer at either level.

Whenever anyone asks me if I am a Montel Gibson or an Ira Jackson Jr kinda guy, I simply roll my eyes and reply "I'm an Alhagi Touray Sisay guy."

Absolute scenes when he ends up at Dover and bangs 45 goals in this season.

You know you've been managed by Ian Holloway when you have 20 obscure strikers on your books

How come Michael Cheek never gets linked with anyone, despite his record down here? Is it because everyone accepts he is Bromley for life and will still be banging in 20 goals a season for them when he’s like 40 or something?

He's well paid and comfortable there. At his age teams higher up aren't willing to splash out.

Apparently doesn’t drive so would struggle to get to most places, was also driven about by Mark Cousins when he was here think they live local to each other in Chelmsford area and Cousins is now at Bromley.

Matty Palmer, former Burton midfielder who was at Swindon and Wigan last season, seems possible for us. Most of our signings under the Danes come out of nowhere, but I had heard both Taylor and Nemane beforehand so maybe it’s a goer.
