He was gassed out by half-time in most matches, simply not fit enough to play full time football and I doubt he ever will be. Good signing for Chester though.

I think Durrell would of been a success under a better and more strict manager. Never got a fair run.

As with Hudson I think Durrell is better than a lot of players currently at Chester. He didn't look like he'd adjusted to the step up (or maybe hadn't recovered frm the surgery he had when he first joined us) definite ability.

He is a fat little thing though.

That doesn't make sense. Surely being at a full-time club would help make him fitter rather than being at a part-timer?

Shaun Harrad and Danny Racchi are apparently having a trial at Wrexham

Not really as he hasn't got the body shape (or basic determination) for training full time, got injured all the time because of it, became fatter and repeat the cycle. He was mainly under the Wilkin regime though and he loves to work players ridiculously hard in terms of fitness.

Haha, the annual Danny Racchi trial-athon.

I highly doubt this is true seeing as he's fallen out with Gary Mills about 500 times in the past.

I've also been told that the goalie we are signing isn't who most think . Apparently is north east based and hasn't long signed a contract with his current club . A fee would be required but nothing significant as the player isn't getting game time at said club

Apparently we are signing Rhys Browne tomorrow, any good Aldershot fans?

Ingham as in Michael Ingham? We had him on loan from Sunderland about 12 years ago! Didn't know he was still knocking about!
Yeah that's the one. We had him on loan around the same time and then he rejoined us in 2009. Great to have in the dressing room but not so much on the pitch these days

Think he'll be a good player for you. He's a quick, skillful winger but can also play in behind the strikers and offers a bit of spark. He started off the season so well for us but faded (possibly due to poor management), but feel he would have progressed well under Waddock and the majority of our fans wanted him to stay. Good luck to him.

Unreal potential playing behind the striker, more so than out wide IMO. Could be a great player under the right management or could be a flop - still relatively new to this level of football. I understand ever since he played for the big nation of Antigua, he's had a little attitude problem. You'll have to pay a bit of compensation too.

Signing a young player today with lots of potential according to Danny Cowley. Potential in my eyes often sounds like a polite way of saying mainly untried/not had much game time. We shall soon find out.

A lot of our rumoured targets have been on holiday so more likely to signed at the end of the week.
We resume training next week so would expect most of the new faces in by then.

Padraig Amond turned down our 1 year offer for the security of 2 years at Hartlepool and also said that he turned down the chance to triple his wages at a Conference club, i wonder which club that could have been, i've narrowed it down to 2 possibilities.......

Taylor Miles was mentioned about 2/3 weeks ago on the Braintree forum.

Yes, potential and young certainly sounds like Taylor Miles might be a good shout. Don't know a lot about him if it is him. Sounds like another in tomorrow and a couple more by the end of the week.

Since when are signings only done on the back of facing teams a couple/or more games a season?
Heh, quite. Watch out everyone Mark Cooper has finished watching all the DVD's. His signings will be based purely on them.

To be honest he never really impressed against any of the top sides, but managed to bag loads of goals against the mid table - bottom half teams.
In saying that i'm not trying to pretend i would not have loved to have kept him, i would, but going off his interview it seems that Hurst only offered the 1 year deal because he didn't seem arsed if he stayed or not:
