The striker we were due to sign today has apparently let us down at last minute, having booked a medical, and is off to a L2 Club. That's two strikers we've missed out on this week to L2 Clubs!

Still hopeful of a defender tomorrow and striker either Thursday or Friday.

If you Google Pat Hoban, it's on the home page - just says page unavailable. That's usually the paper have clicked publish by mistake.
I'd say "done deal", but the same happened with us and Mills from Boston.

Hoban was alright. Showed zero goal threat. Maybe it was the was we played. Good touch and he was pretty strong. Not much else on him really.

When we came back up we'd in principle agreed to sign Danny Williams permanently after loaning him from Kendal but Neil Young couldn't get hold of anyone on the board to ratify it before Inverness quickly jumped in and nabbed him.

Annoying as he'd been our best performer after Sarcevic that year.

Finger seems to be pointing at general manager Tony Allen, whose appointment last season seems to have upset a lot of people. He was an apologist for Steven Vaughan, who got us liquidated in 2010 and was also part of a dubious consortium, who tried to take over at Wrexham before the current group got control. I hope he can explain why he didn't do his job properly or be sacked.
